I agree with this, also seeing them in person the Gold Play Button feels a lot like a more dense and opaque version of the Anniversary Gold Flakie Taco. But I love Gold Play Button nontheless. As for the green, I think a slightly darker green might have sold better

This is precisely why. I just bought the fall collection and didn’t really need more gold because I could just use the topper. I understand they’re totally different formulas for totally different looks, but gold is gold.

Lavender Syrup was not a surprise to me. It’s the only Holo Taco I loved so much I had to buy multiples of until the Holoday collection came out. It’s truly unique and flattering for just about everyone, appropriate even for the most stiff of workplaces, it’s just a great colour. Purple gang for life lol

I bought my husband a bunch of nail polishes for Christmas and because I have no self control I gave it to him early, haha. He is absolutely THRILLED. His favorite color is purple so I bought him the purple linear holo along with base coat, top coat, etc. and he is constantly admiring them in the sunlight. So good, thank you!

Personally I like golds that lean less yellow. If it was a little darker with some more neutral/light brown notes I'd probably like it better. But that's just my preference, It's not a big deal, ha

That's what I was going to say-- most people have an idea of their "perfect" gold so it's not like other colours where you like the whole range, i.e. someone who likes purple probably likes everything from plum to lavender. Personally I'm scared to buy gold polish online because I can't tell if it'll be right for my skin tone.

Yellow gold is sooo fake looking. Real gold is not yellow so definitely agree with this. Gold Medal from Sinful Colors has a true metal gold brush look to it. Not Holo though.

Gold might be lower cause you just had the limited edition Frozen Benana shade that was also gold. Personally since I have cool undertones in my skin, yellow gold doesn’t look good on me. I’m more into rose gold or silver.

My guess for gold would be that many people dislike yellow as a color and on winter times I rarely see people walk in yellow or have celebration dresses in yellow or gold. People like to dress darker in the winter and plums/browns are also the prefered colors of make up in fall and winter

1:50 my guess is because y'all have already made a few gold-related products. i remember when i saw you guys were making a gold with this formula my first thought was "i'm not gonna buy that because it's extremely close to the gold topper i just bought a month ago." i understand the formula for this is very pretty and includes holo but for me they're still very similar and i want variety, so it was not a polish i decided to buy based on that. it's very nice polish of course (i have other glitter holos by y'all and they're always so fun), but when i have limited funds and i could choose between say red or brown which are colors i don't really have and gold which i do, i'm gonna pick the ones i don't have.

I'm with the others in that yellow gold doesn't look the greatest on my skintone. I'd only get it for art, but I got the gold flakie topper for when I want to mix gold with other colors, and that works better on my skintone. The rose gold glitter works a lot better for me, though I would prefer if that polish was slightly more gold and less pink. Maybe I should get gold play button to blend with play rose and make my ideal rose gold shade. Lavender syrup is a very nice shade, I think it's a fairly trendy color and IMO the linear holos work best as pastels, since they don't look dull in indirect light the way that the bright colors do. It's also not very close to a skin tone, so I think it works better for many skin tones, whereas shades between yellow and pink can be hit or miss for different people. I love mint mojito, peach tea, and coral chaser from the pastel rainbow collection, but I can see that green isn't as popular of a color, and the coral and peach might be hit or miss for different skin tones. Also, throwing it out there that I appreciate the highlights! Streams aren't my favorite format but I enjoy highlight reels from them, and I can see that it's more fun for Cristine than just making short youtube videos all the time.

Pro tip: if you want to get loads of ner nailpolishes at once u might get above 100 $ total cost quickly. That means there is no shipping cost only import taxes. Depending on where you live those taxes could be lower than international shipping, so you'll pay less extra money. Obviously if u only want three polishes and not like 8-9 it may noy be worth it.

Gold is a classic, but yeah, my favorite gold is a metallic polish. I compared what I would use such a bold and flashy gold for, and in my use cases the metallic wins. Holo usually wins, but micro flakey metallic is more my style for gold. I totally got the gold flakey top coat earlier though.

I had a feeling that it wouldn't sell out right away too, but I think that's because out of the entire launch gold holo is probably the least unique out of all of them (aside from maybe black holo). Brown holo is the most unique, and purple is a popular color for nail polish so that's why they sold out first.

I wish I saw this prior to my last order. In my head Choco Holo looked beautiful over Chai even if it gave it a tad of a tint. So I bought Choco when they were restocked 🤦🏻‍♀️ it doesn’t look so good does it? But Pine looks amazing over Teal. And that’s the one I absolutely didn’t want! Fml I should have just got the box set and then I’d have Plumb Luck; my absolutely fave Holo taco polish ever! All I can hope is that these come back next year! I’m not paying shipping for the 3rd time in 2 weeks just to get Pine. Also, I never order less than 3 polishes at a time. Lol. Oh wells. I think I have a China Glaze turquoise jelly glitter that will look beautiful on top of Teal.

I think it is because there are a lot yellow-ish shades? Yellow bright, yellow pastel, yellow Ben metal flakes+holo, and this one. I love yellow so I have them all lol But for many people it is not the color you use much and the once bought bottle will last for a while. That is my theory :)
