I was also in sales. Door to door sales to be exact. You are completely right. We don’t receive this types of training at work. And that’s why their business doesn’t take off as they should. At that mention of realization I know if I arm myself with more knowledge in sales, I will eat these guys alive. When I was younger Grant Cardone was Andy Elliot. The option to bring your family with you is HUGE. As a single mom it's hard to take time off and get a sitter so anything I can do with bringing my kids is amazing. As a general contractor, I am competitive because I continue to learn and follow the trades experts and continue to study codes. I don’t get stumped because of experience and knowledge. When I am down to the wire and am neck to neck with another contractor to get the job, and the price is similar, I simply express my desire to work with the customer and ask what would have to happen for us to get aligned? I never close. I allow the trust and the rapport we established to gently settle and usually I get the job.

We watched him talk the talk for 3 weeks then were supposed to have a live training. His trainer didn’t show up because he said he didn’t have any internet.
