Great video, thank you :-), I was wondering are you planning on doing and videos on Salesforce DX? Not sure if anyone else has requested one?
@SalesforceAdam2 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion Mel. Unfortunately that's a bit beyond my realm of expertise. If you know about it and want to collab on a short overview video let me know :)

Adam, do you know if there is any formal documentation for new features, etc showing what is changing in salesforce classic only? My company isn't ready to make a transition to lightning yet, and it really does seem like most of the release webinars, etc. are lightning focused.
@SalesforceAdam2 жыл бұрын
Hi Olivia, so there is some documentation out there BUT the best way to look at it is that it's a shiny new look to Salesforce, essentially, which is hard for companies that have had Classic for ages to make the change. HOWEVER, SF have (and will continue) to make more features and functionality only in Lightning, so I recommend planning to make a switch for users (which you can do user by user). My recommendation is to look at the users role, how they use SF today and then do a walk-through (yourself) of what that journey looks like in Lightning, and how it's improved with things like better SF tools for sales, etc (e.g. Sales Inspector). Best of luck!

The best way for me to get a question to you Adam. Just watched the first of your videos. Question - do you have anything on subflows? Respectfully, Alan
@SalesforceAdam2 жыл бұрын
THanks Alan! Sorry for huge delay (just had a new baby) - nothing on SUbflows yet, but is on the list. I'm tentatively waiting for SF to launch some features to make it all easier to map it all. Something they have done a bit with the Flow Explorer. Best of luck :)

so you can't generate a report of inactive values, only an email ? is the email in a csv or some other format ?
@SalesforceAdam2 жыл бұрын
Hello - great question. I believe from memory it's CSV (as with most exports from SF reports). Good thought on the ability to access it via SF reports. Technically, I don't see why not, but I suspect this might not be available to do (as in you won't be able to access that dataset/metadata in the normal Custom Reports). Let me know what you find.

Hi Adam, Actually, I have a requirement to show the (Due date) of oldest Non-Completed task on Account field.. here oldest due date means account have lots of related task on that all task whose DUEDATE field have oldest value that ualue we have to reflect to our Account detail page..
@SalesforceAdam2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. You might be able to do this two ways. One could be a Flow, where you update the field on the account by looking at your tasks and picking out the oldest one. The other way might be simply by creating a 'Roll-up Summary' field to look at the Tasks and show the Max of the Due Date field. Hope this helps.
