Salesforce SUCKS. It's decommissioning the only thing we've used that hasn't broken over the years, the Salesforce Outlook Add-In. Now we have to configure our Office 365 Exchange server manually. Salesforce is an absolute joke of a company with a crappy product. I cannot figure out why it's so popular.

What kind of background info do you need to know before entering a certification program or whatnot? I don't have any relevant college education or up to date computer skills, where would I be best to start?

Hi there! Well I'd say no official prerequisite skills needed to start out. Everything you will need can be obtained from two things, 1. The Salesforce (free) training materials and 2. Getting and building up experience in the tool (how to use it in real world scenarios). The first, simply go to this link and set yourself a login for Trailhead: trailhead.salesforce.com/ and for the second, there are some companies that take in people just starting out in their careers and offer training and entry level jobs, such as, careers.cognizant.com/studentandinterns/global/en/ - hope this helps :)

The part of this that I cannot seem to solve is this: Yes the buttons do create the correct record type, but the layout shown does not adhere to the page layout or compact layout assignments made for that record type. Between the 6 different record types we have for my object, there are some 60 fields, that I only want to show 10 or so on the creation window that are specific to each record type. GAHHHH....

Hi Adam, will this Flow continually send emails to my user? I just want it to go once 7 days before the due date. But as this is a record triggered flow will my user receive an email every time the record is updated (irrespective of the 7 day rule). Thanks so much, E-J

Hi Adam, great video. I was looking for a solution to auto-populate close date for a while, however I have created the new button, but the issue I have I only need this new button on creation of one type of opportunity record, lets call it Alpha ,out of 5. 1. how whould I make this work, so when the users clicks New button from opportunity and select record type=alpha this autopolation to trigger? 2. how will I make it work ehrn teh users choose new opportunity from account or contact related list? Could you please help me figure this out? Thanks

Hey Adam, I have watched all your SalesforceTutorials playlist videos and they are great! Thank you! One issue I found though: it seems you switched to a 4k monitor and in this video, I can barely see the page you are showing. It would be great on a 2-meter TV, but not on a 27'' monitor :) I don't know about others, but I wanted to ask you to reconsider your monitor settings. And, as for me, without an external mic, your voice was easier to understand. But again, thnk you for all your hard work to give the community the videos you've created. :)

Anybody know how to modify the new case action in the view cases list or the new case button on the Services Case drop-down? I want to present only a those fields that are necessary to open a case. I created a global action that does what I want but I want to modify the New Case button/action in the locations I've mentioned. A cup of coffee if you can figure it out.

Hey Adam, Thanks for the great video. It's the best I've found so far on google/Salesforce Integration. I have a question if you don't mind. When it comes to the events, will the events created in Salesforce be synced back to gmail calendar? Or, it's better to say, is there a way to manually add them to google calendar in a similar way that they can be added from google calendar to Salesforce? I'm speaking here only about Gmail Integration feature not touching Einstein stuff 🙂

Question: You mention the data is held/owned by a third party company, so if I log an email into salesforce does it disappear after 24 months or does it stay in salesforce forever being that I have now logged it under a contact in salesforce? I'm basically looking for a way to send an email in gmail and have it logged under the same email address within salesforce.
