Those teams were fantastic. Played superbly with limited resources only thing lacking for them was exposure . Dempo under Colaco Salgaocar and Churchill in their prime. Mohun Bagan in their era of Baretto EAST bengal with Bhaichung

Not really. Even after 1997 East Bengal & Mohun Bagan have won maximum Fed cup 9 times after 1997. How many Goa has won? Only 3 times in 04,11,14. Yes Dempo won 5 I League title, but so was Mohun Bagan and East Bengal had total 3 winner & 7 Runner up trophy in I-league or NFL which was highest in number .So where are you watching Goa dominance? Even Goa clubs Dempo, Salgaocar or Churchill had been relegated from I-league or today's ISL as those were private clubs owned by private people who had short term Indian success(not international success like East Bengal had over elite foreign clubs) The only good thing came out of GOA was coach Armendo Colaso or 1 or 2 Strikers like Bruno, or midfielder Climax Lawrence, clifford Miranda.

The injury time left footer by Baichung went wide off the target. The easiest of opportunity in the match; had he got the ball in his right foot which was his playing foot then it would have been goal. But as East Bengal had always been lop sided faulty against Salgaocar , be it in Fed cup or later I-league. They have always squandered opportunities particularly against this ordinary 3rd category Goan club be it offense or defending.
