Guzar jaye din, unhesitatingly. But my all time favourite of Salil da is Itna na mujhse tu pyar badha (Happy version). Oh what an orchestration and how sweet Janab Talat Mahmood sounds!!! Lata didi, is of course, Lata didi. Aha rimjhim ke yeh pyare pyare geet liye sounds similar, a little fast in beat 🪘, but Talat sahab somehow, to me, of course, doesn't sound so sweet and velvety smooth.

He refused to go with the flow. He neither chose Rafi Sahab when he was ruling the industry, nor he opted for Kishore Da when we was at his prime. He stuck with his favorite Mukesh and Lata duo. And possibly this is the reason that he never became that popular as rest of the Music Directors were in his time.

Actually this video was basically more about explaining the Salil चौधरी music in context of famous Kishore Da retake incident. Rafi Sahab never faced any such inncident, so he was not mentioned in this video. Also, there, was no mention of Manna Dey, Talat Mahnood, and other Singers. In that interview, Salil Da did not mention any of these singers in terms of his complex tunes, so there was no mention of them in dis regard. Yes, he did comment on singing style of every singer, but if we included his general comments about all singers, this video wud he been very long and may hv gone out of the main topic. So from where we see it, we didn't mean to degrade any great singer by any means, as they r already legends and nobody can even dispute about this fact.

Regarding Salil Chowdhury 's lack of interest in Mohd. Rafi, I can say that the religion issue is bogus. If you knew about his philosophy of life you wouldn't have made such comment. We have to accept that every person has some preferences which cannot be explained by others.
