I love the old commercials. That gives me major nostalgia, even thsn the show itself, I think.

I know. I used to get so annoyed when I'd videotape TV shows and have to fast forward through the commercials...never though I'd be cherishing them.

Does anyone have the follow up of Carley living with Rachel?
@Golbez1991 Жыл бұрын
I admit, I love this episode. I was a teenager in the 90s and this is exactly what happened in my high school. The cool kids started smoking around the age of 11 or 12 and they were very active sexually. And I love how it was very touching at the end with Carly and that guy professing his love for Jessica. Not an easy thing to do on national TV.

I feel the worst for Carly for some reason. She seemed articulate, bright and knew she was screwed up. I hope she sorted herself out and did alright for herself in these past 30 years.

I agree with the lady re self esteem, I never realized how important it is for this to be instilled in young kids from parents or teachers etc, until I was much older and seeing how much a lack of this affected people around me, very sad

Ernestine's heart is in the right place, but she could use a course in human development as to why a teen can't just "love themselves right now." Same with the guys in the audience who said the same thing.

I’m so sorry, but the girl at 40 minutes, annoyed me. I myself wasn’t having sex as a teen. She had a I’m better than you attitude. Probably a mean girl. I made a choice to not have sex as a teen, but I never put someone else for making that choice. The slut shaming and bullying isn’t making the situation any better.

Being shameless is a bad thing. People should feel shame for the bad things they do. And then fix it.

@@Joefest99 who is exactly doing something“bad?” I’m pretty sure everyone has done a bad thing or two. Everyone has skeletons in the closet. I don’t condone the behavior these young women have presented. But I don’t condone the behavior of disrespect and bullying.
@Joefest9911 ай бұрын
@@nataliapola6988 You’re implying that these women aren’t doing anything wrong, and you’re also saying “I don’t condone their behavior”. You don’t condone their behavior because it’s bad behavior. And that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be valued as human beings, it just means that their behavior will likely lead to a lot of negativity in their lives and the lives around them through things like conflict in relationships, unwanted pregnancy, divorce, psychological issues, STD’s and so on… If a toddler tries to stick a fork in a light socket, that’s bad behavior. It’s not because it’s a bad toddler. But the behavior will lead to negativity and should be called out and stopped. Someone who tries to stop the behavior is someone who cares about the toddler. Rachel cares for the well being of the girls, AND points out their destructive behavior so they can change it. She probably cares about them more than they care about themselves. She wants to help them to have a better life, and is even willing to take them into her home in order to help them. It may come across as a “I’m better than you” attitude, but she actually cares.

@@Joefest99 all I’m saying is the bullying and slut shaming and does not resolve the issue, sir. These girls need psychological therapy. I can tell that her in her eyes and they’re crying for help.

Great honest discussion. Things are more laise faire now bc of hookup culture but it's completely tanked and stunted long-term relationship building. Now we have statistics that show it's hard for women to be satisfied if they have a lot of sexual partners. Hope these girls were able to turn things around and get the help they needed
