It's now July 2024, 32 years later and this case is still unsolved and is one of the most baffling mysteries the world has ever known.

The police had horrible luck in this case: 1) A person who went to the home swept up the glass bulb that had been shattered on the porch, destroying possible evidence; 2) Another person who entered the home accidentally erased a recording on the answering machine which may have contained a clue. 3) Immediately after this very segment aired, a person called the hotline with what detectives later determined was “prime information.” When the switchboard operator attempted to switch the tipster to the Springfield PD, she accidentally disconnected the tipster. A subsequent episode of AMW encouraged the tipster to call back, but he never did. You cannot really blame the Springfield Police Department for this extraordinary bad luck. Here’s to hoping there is a big break in this case someday.

Thank you!. Hopefully someone can upload the 48 hrs special from this case as well.

I would love to see the 48 hrs episode again too! Unfortunately for “legal” reasons I think LE has “suppressed” that episode from being aired further.

can you elaborate on why it would be suppressed?

I was just a little younger than Suzie and Stacy and lived in St Louis when the women were abducted. For the past decade I’ve read and watched every interview, newspaper report, episode and podcast I can find. Sadly I don’t believe the women will ever be found but I sincerely hope I am wrong.

Can you upload the first full America's Most Wanted episode from February 7, 1988?👍

You’d hope the 90’s would have better case resolution but it might as well be the 70’s in terms of tech/media and police/crime techniques. It’s hard to imagine a local doing this without any tips. Being on a major crossroad makes me wonder if they were grabbed by a traveling predator. The peeping tom seen by a neighbor. The van with Stacy driving. It’s difficult when you don’t know which tips are relevant or even accurate.

Yep I looked on google earth and their house was so close to a highway…

The problem is if they had called the police right away. They just said the mom was never messy. Always locked her door. So you come and find broken glass and an open door and you're just gonna hang in the house for 2 hours before calling the cops. That's what has ruined them from solving this

Were the Springfield Three ever featured on Unsolved Mysteries? I looked through the wiki episode guide and could not find anything in particular that would point to them based on the description.

Two months after the case of Baby Kerri aired on AMW, police arrested Karen Lea Hughes for kidnapping Baby Kerri and in 1994, Hughes was sentenced to 8 years to prison. She was paroled after serving 3 years.

Plenty. I read a lot into this case years ago. The theories and speculation are seemingly endless. Nearly 32 years have passed since this and as far as I know, there has been no resolution to this case.
