THANK YOU for Parts 1 & 2. Your step-by-step instruction makes one actually want to try to create something of this sort. Oftentimes, I just don't know how to start, but you've made everything clear. Thank you, again!

Just wondering with that Stabilo All pen. I hadn’t heard of it so I clicked on your link. It says it’s a watercolour ink. Wouldn’t that work like the inktense pencils? They can’t be reactivated with water once dry. Looks like heaps of fun!

Hi Robyn, the stabilo pencil is a very waxy pencil. It is water soluble (not watercolor, per se.) It feels like a crayon when it goes down. You can leave it as is on the surface or wet it with water to blend it out. It does stay moveable with water even after it dries, which can be a drawback, so I activate it with matte medium instead and that stabilizes it so if I want to use more water based products on my project, the pencil doesn’t continue to move or smudge. Otherwise, save the addition of stabilo for the last layer of a project. A little goes a long way…the black is really strong. But it can be layered as well. I highly recommend it. There are also colored versions (white, blue, red, and brown) and a whole color set of shorter fat pencils called Woodies, which are actually intended for kids, but work the same way. I also use Inktense pencils. Those really are more like watercolor pencils that dry permanent but feel more like a lead than the stabilo, which feel more like a crayon. Hope that helps explain it, and thanks so much for watching!

@@SallyVanNuysMixedMediaArtist thanks for replying to my message! I’ve been binge watching you for a few days now. I bought cold wax to finish gouache then found out you can paint oils with it. Then I started searching for info and found you.. 😊
