I'm honestly really glad that they have a top literary writer who gives us one masterpiece novel every five years or so (Salman Rushdie), AND genre-fiction popstars (Neil Gaiman and David Baldacci), AND a guy who cranks out 40 bestselling pulp books a year that are half-written by collaborators (James Patterson). The truth is that writing is many things to many people, and no matter how good your teacher is, anywhere from 30-90% of what works for them will not work for you. Drinking at every well, plucking a flower from every garden, is going to make you a better writer than becoming a carbon copy of one writer's style or another. Writing and acting both benefit from as many teachers as possible, and MasterClass is never, ever being redundant when they sign up more than one of these masters to teach the same subject.

James Patterson does not co-write his books. The other writer is the only writer who contributes a word to the books with James Pattersons name name on. James Patterson contributes a character or two and a couple of plot ideas. That's it. He does nothing else. And then has his name printed biggest on the front cover and earns the most in terms of royalties. All of his solo published stuff is ghost written. The only book he has ever published that was actually written by him was his first published novel, it was critically panned and sold very badly because of how bad it was and sank without trace. It Is now out of print I believe. The guy is a hack.
