I Did EVERYTHING in Stardew Valley 1.6

Before making guides on all of the new content, I needed to experience it within the natural progression of the game, so I sought to do EVERYTHING I could in the new update!
What resulted is a 50 hour long run where I got Perfection, unlocked all achievements, and filled in the brand new special collectibles page!

Hey so fun fact! It doesn’t matter what smoked fish/dried mushrooms/dried fruit you give the raccoon’s- despite asking for different varieties any kind counts for completing the quest.This isn’t on the wiki and I’ve never heard anyone mention it anywhere, but I found it out accidentally while playing through 1.6 and I’m not sure how no one else has noticed this yet? It’s worked across multiple different play throughs and on a friend’s account as well, so I’m pretty sure it’s a real thing. I suspect it’s similar to the exploit that let you use wallpapers in the community center… or is a side affect on how bulletin board and community center quests don’t usually specify an exact *type* of artisan good you’re putting in, and just cares that its jelly or whatever.

@@salmence100 - Juices, Preserves, Pickles, Dried Fruit, Dried Mushrooms, and smoked fish, but not crab-pot fish (can't turn in shrimp, if it asks for crayfish, for example).

All the little housing changes are so nice, I havent seen many people talking about them but like Jodies and Evelyns beds were both made into full beds to fit Kent and George. Just little things that make the game feel more complete and fun to explore :)

The purpose of that added side path to the quarry cave is the daily respawn of coal nodes, much like the stumps in the secret woods. They aren't guaranteed to have the same number or be in the same place, but after checking it every day for a year I only had a handful of days that didn't have at least one node, and most had 3-4.

Just a heads up, you keep pronouncing Brazier "Brassieres". Brassieres is the full word for a bra (womens underclothes), and braziers is the fire light in the game. Tha "a" sound is different in the words.

Like all words, pronunciation depends on where you are in the world. There are several different pronunciations here in the UK alone, none are wrong. English gets the word from French, but if you use the French pronunciation then it wouldn't be English!

I love the challenges you included alongside perfection! You could also add crafting every clothing item, getting every hat* and gifting every NPC each loved gift at least once to fill up their logs. Excellent video! The Pepper Rex hunt surprised me because I always get that one super quick, but I do go to the skull caverns on bad luck days. That seems to give you more infested floors and more monsters.

Daily luck doesn’t affect number of monsters or infested floors. Infested floors are predestined by Yoba (your game seed)

Regardless, I do think that hitting up Skull Cavern on bad (but not terrible) luck days is underrated. If you aren't hunting for the "good luck" things, no need to go on a good luck day.

I'm still to perfect my 1.6 run, but that's just because I'm really taking my time enjoying the new mechanics and decorating the farm before I wrap things up. This way the grinding for the golden clock isn't that painful. Also, the 1.6 is way more balanced than the previous updates, which make the game even more fun. Its weird you didn't notice it because you just got done talking about coal nodes and how you think they only spawn in quarry and volcano ... But the new side area in the quarry cave is FULL of both coal nodes and the gray rocks that guarantee stone drops from them. Its a super useful source of those 2 resources that you totally undersold.

I find it amazing how Artisan is so strong no matter how many options they add to other methods of gaining money.ow with Smoked Fish Artisan has one more reason to be busted and optimal, it is honestly a little infuriating sometimes. You really have no reason to not run Artisan even if you focus on anything else.

24:15 green rain days are maybe my favorite addition to 1.6. they feel specifically designed for people like me, whose brains go into a happy buzz when chopping fiber all day. the only times i play until 2 AM. i just chop as much fiber as i can all day. it's the best. :)
