I think that last fish was looking at me as much as I was looking at him.

not the prettiest fish in the water. They didn't start out that way, they kind of became zombies as they came back to the place they had been hatched.

an amazing fish. They are born in these waters and streams. They leave and go out in the ocean where they may stay for 3 or 4 years, then they come back to the very fresh water streams and rivers where they had been born. They spawn, have their eggs, and the whole cycle repeats itself.

Always enjoyed watching the salmon at the Issaquah Fish Hatchery this time of the year.

This is the first phase of salmon coming into the Thurston County waters. Later in the month and beginning of November, many many more will be coming in filling the streams and rivers.

Is tv is near you? How amazing! Those salmon are crazy to look at and hate to say it but even better to eat! I like the fence with all the locks. Happy Sunday

The falls is only about 10 minutes from our house. We love walking around the falls, full of history going back thousands of years. Those salmon aren'l the nicest looking fish, they turn zombie like after they come home to the breeding grounds. An amazing fish and the streams out here will be full of them by November.
