Salmon Fishing in the Hanford Reach with Tj Hester of Hester's Sportfishing. The Hanford Reach is a free-flowing section of the Columbia River, around 51 miles long, in eastern Washington state. It is named after a large northward bend in the river's otherwise southbound course. The Hanford Site is a decommissioned nuclear production complex operated by the United States federal government on the Columbia River in the U.S. state of Washington. In this episode of Addicted Life were on the Columbia River doing some salmon fishing with 360 flashers and superbaits. The salmon were biting and the fishing was good! Below Priest Rapids Dam is by definition the Hanford Reach! It’s a bummer whitefish are no longer counted at the fish ladders as they where and still are a huge good eating native fish population.

We passed through the Gap on our way up here to Montana Saturday when they filmed this, today we are going after Ennis Lake hog rainbow, there are always fish to go after somewhere.

They won't let us fish the hot water outlets on the nuclear power plant here in southern lake Michigan because of 9 11 . That was a hot spot to fish to wish they would let us again . But they probably won't. I'm here in st Joseph Michigan on the pier thinking about you guys. Good luck fishing guys tear them up.

That was a Washington Department Fish and Game fish checker. They are appointed to different boat launches on the Hanford Reach. She was using a metal detector checking for hatchery tags that are placed in the salmons head. If a tag is detected the WDFG allows you to get your pictures and then will cut the head of the salmon, get the angler who caught the fish contact information. Then when the information is retrieved you receive the information also. Which tells you age of fish and which fish hatchery it came from. Tags are tiny

Day 16 of limits....and ur far from the only ones doing this. No wonder the yrs are getting slower and slower. Keep that guild's in alaska and the bay. Should be illegal to keep so many. Guilds should have way less of a limit per boat. IMO

how were u fishing the colombia when it is closed for salmon and steelhead from bouy 10 to 395 bridge in pasco amd above rhat point its release all steelhead and steelhead is closed.. salmon out of season...

The Columbia River doesn't end at the 395 bridge, meaning there were other parts of the Columbia open to Salmon.

Hardcore fisherman through and through recently had to move to the tri cities...why pull these GIANT beautiful fish off the spawning ground!? There no good to eat/smoke, etc. just why? None of the fish caught here are of any value for the table or even smoker!? These fish made it through 100’s of miles of native nets, fishermen at the wind, drano, Klickitat, deshutes, and even mouth of Yakima...LET THEM SPAWN. Seriously. And yes, I’m on board with hatchery-wild-coexist and even a donater...but c’mon guys. Once these fish are literally ON the spawning grounds...let them do there thing...
