Well done ! Be nice to know what general area of Ireland you're in Those can't be hatchery fish- Natural Resources Wales (bless them) insist that there is 'No evidence' that stocking helps salmon stocks. There wont be, of course, as NRW don't stock and have even banned our local club private hatchery from rearing/stocking fry However they are 'Monitoring' the situation. Which is good to know !

The hatchery is on the river Lee system in Cork, Ireland its there because we have 2 large dam systems in place one at Inniscarra the other at Carrigadrohid which unfortunately block salmon from returning to sea and also some of the smolt so the hatchery is in place to beef up the numbers of smolt.

hi paul i love your videos i used to do a lot of fishing my self here in Sligo but it is all catch and release here now these past 4 years all because of the men who would not returen ther log cards
