Thanks John, after years of fishing the laune river in stormy winds etc I have tailored my casts to suit all conditions, not the demo casts with tapered leaders and wool but proper fishing all condition casting using heavy sinking polyleaders, brass tubes into strong winds etc. I made a short demo video for using both hands simultaneously with sinking polyleaders and brass tubes a few years ago just to show ease of transition from one hand to another while performing all casting strokes but thought it too dangerous to put up as some novice might try it and hurt themselves. The jacket is starting to come to the end of its life after two hard years wear and tear but it was cheap, in a sale and is still relatively waterproof.

I really expected the fish to come off with the barbless hooks so I didn't do a commentry during the fight as I had to put a lot of effort in playing it softly not like my normal bully it in method. The rod was my 7wt switch fly rod, floating line,10ft clear intermediate versileader and 4kg 8ft tippet for clear slow water....which is why its important to take things easy with a good fish on a light tippet with barbless hooks.

It was cheap, I got it in a sale two years ago. It is still waterproof but fraying inside arms etc so I only use it for medium bad weather not heavy rain...still it was a bargain.
