OMG that water looks incredibly low. Will be fishing there later this year. Great beat last October as all in our 6 person party caught. Good luck Chris

Hi Philip yes I think it is. Although I am not sure. I did remember that the ghillie told.me about a major storm in the past few years that altered the pools considerably. Hope that helps 👍

Loved the video - totaly agree with you on the dog control issues 👍 Folks let the dogs do what they want, some dogs take the owner for a walk and when you're paying to fish it's very frustrating. Those folks shouldn't be allowed near the place !! Good job on only swearing once 🙂

Looks a nice bit of water to fish. That would annoy me too if i had a dog jump into the pool I was fishing. When im walking my two I make sure I have them on the lead well before getting to any people fishing. Looking forward to seeing you up on the findhorn later this year.

Oi oi. Another good day. Fishing on the continent can be hugely rewarding, but it can mean you have to jump through all sorts of hoops, especially in Germany, where you have to complete a 3 day course before you can even apply for a license. Even then, the license is regional, and will only cover the territory you applied in. I recommend Switzerland and Italy. There is some great mountain fishing to be done there, with relatively little hassle.

As a farmer who has suffered from dogs attacking our ewes I share your frustration (and language) regarding keeping the pooch on a bloody lead if you can’t control it. In the past we’ve had multiple injured sheep due solely to dog owner ignorance. I should say that I write this as a Deerhound owner. Now that’s a beast who could do some damage if not well trained. I feel your pain. Take care and thanks for sharing your adventures Chris.

Thanks Andrew, as a child growing up on our family farm in Cornwall my dad trained our Collies for herding and were amazing. I firmly believe that a well trained dog is a very happy dog and that dogs react to their owners emotional state. I am chilled out and calm, Theo is calm. Dad would always chastise people walking the footpath through one of our fields if the dog was off the lead. A sad state of affairs, so sorry to hear of the problems you've had

Which pool is that Chris. I used to fish Boleside a lot and if it's Glenmayne it's changed out of all recognition.
