Join me in another adventure over the course of six days fishing on the river Findhorn on Tomatin house beat. The river varied in height throughout the week ranging from 3 inches to 1 foot 9 inches on the Shenachie gauge. What a lovely setting it was to cast a fly and share the experience with friends and family. I am pencilled in for next year for the same week so fingers crossed we get good water all week next time. I was joined by @CornishChrisTheFish , @CF_Fishing , @isaacbell. , @fishing_swede, my Uncle, my Dad, David and Frank making for a very enjoyable week full of laughter, Tomatin whisky and some fish along the way. I hope this video gives you a fairly good idea of the beat and how the river can change when it's in spate or drought.
Check out www.resilurecu... to cater to your custom fishing rod needs whether it be an amazing salmon rod like mine or a lure rod for your local water.
My custom rod if built on a bloke spey blank paired with the loop Q series reel and bloke short switch spey line 30 foot head.
Most of the week I was fishing with a 10 foot slow sink poly leader paired with around 8 foot of clear fluorocarbon through to my fly.
A big shout out to Mats for making the effort to come across all the way from Sweden to fish with us for a few days it was great to finally meet you after messaging for so long before.
Keep an eye out on my channel for some more Salmon fishing adventures coming soon as I have a few in the pipeline before I switch over to Pike and Perch fishing for the winter.
