It various a lot depending on the weather and where the bait fish is located. But surface paravans on each side of the boat together with spoons force you to put on some weight, more closer to the boat than further out (60-30gram)(150-200 feet line from clips). Depth of downriggers maybe 10-30 feet with less length of line than on surface and normally without any weight. Salmon speed 2,5-3,0 knots

Laxtrolling är oftast som att leta efter en nål i en höstack, dvs. fiske över stora öppna ytor, både i djupled och längsled. Gäller då kräma på med max utrustning, ibland då upp till 20st spön samtidigt. Detta hände oss mitt ute på ålands hav, alltså långt från närmaste fastland:)

Thanks my friend for answer :) So downrigger lead about 10-30 feet. Spoon from the clips 150-200 feet. How much planners you use on each side off the boat and. I have 3 planners in one side 3 in other and two scotty downriggers in a middle. How far is sorted 6 planners ? My version is V-shaped bait presentation and two downriggers in a middle. Is that okey ? I think in one side first planer 130 feet second 140feet and 150feet. In other side same. Is it good ?

There is no problem to use 3 rods/downrigger. And as i said, be active to find out the best option/day (flashers or no flashers etz)

Sory man. I dont understand. What is paravans ? Its like a sinkers ? Who helps to sink spoon to the desired depth ? I have only sinkers. 30 40 50 60 gram. I think it is a same like paravans ?

good job :) Nice fishing. Hey guys what speed you use when trolling salmon with spoons ? what depth you let downriggers ? And how much foots you let spoon from rod when fix line in a clips ? Im a novice in that fishing and i searching a help from profesionals :) My eanglish not so good but i think you understand what i want to say :)

4-5 rods on each paravan and 2-3 rods on each downrigger is as much as you can handle. There could also be some rules that you have to look up to about that. V-shape is ok, but remember to be activ all the time (switch spoons, weights, line length, speed etz). PS. My friend is the superexpert, not me

Oh it is now clear :) Its like a big planner. On right and left sides and on each 4-5 rods :) I use planners not a paravans. but in this video all 3 salmons cought on downriggers not on paravan. I can see how shootout first rod on left side then shoot right and again right. So two on downriiggers and one simple streching with some sinker weight yes ?

how you instal 3 rods on one downrigger ? With two are big opportunities for mat. All rods going in one line. This is interesting :) And i see one thing lookslike on downriggers you dont use flashers and dodgers yes ? lookslike its only spoons. why ? Maybe you use that silicone thing who spread bubbles ? Damn i dont know how it is called.

Triple on salmon are always fun! I had two triples on King salmon last summer by myself on lake Ontario!! Very challenging!! Good video!

These guys are amateurs. Allowing a fish to bang and bruise itself on the hard deck is really silly at best. When a fish thrashes on the deck the flesh gets bruised and full of blood completely degrading the quality of the fillets. When a fish is netted the net should be "pursed" and the handle lifted vertically along its axis. They got the fish. Hopefully they will learn how to better do it.
