Amazing cinematography! Watching dry fly takes never gets old, but the time lapse metamorphosis from nymph to (what would you call it?) winged adult, and the under water shots of the nymphs!!! I had no idea the nymph had that many gills! You have some amazing skills Gilbert, I love your work!!!

The eats on a salmon fly are definitely out of this world. Having tried a few myself, I can understand why trout love them. Kinda nutty. The weirdest part is when they latch on to your tongue before you crunch them.

One of natures coolest phenomenas the Salmon Fly. I long to see my local canyon geeked with Salmon Flies each year. Some years are better than others, for the hatch. I hope this year’s hatch is prolific as this a key indicator of a healthy river. Tight lines!

I have fished the salmon fly hatch many times. But I have seen seen the bugs in such intricate detail. And I have NEEVR seen the actual emergence as they go from pupa to adult. Being a nature freak, I think you guys killed it. Thanks!
