This video shows how to create a mesh of a bracket using the Mesh Module of SALOME CAD/CAE Integration Platform, for structural computations. Creation of the bracket itself was shown in the previous video, • SALOME Geometry Module . The following actions are covered:
loading a Python script;
creating planes and circles to be the tools for splitting (partition);
splitting the bracket into specific zones, using the Partition operation. Zones are used for defining fine mesh at the top of the bracket and for applying loads and constraints in the solver.
creating groups of geometrical objects;
setting up mesh parameters;
computation of the mesh;
adding mesh groups of nodes and faces for the solver;
checking the quality of the mesh with Mesh Control tools: cell volumes, angles, aspect ratios, etc.etc.;
using clipping planes to see the mesh details inside it;
exporting the mesh to a solver in a MED file;
exporting the model into a Python script;
saving the whole session into an HDF file.
