Nice review! I am enjoying this shoe as a non plated all-arounder for slow to moderate paces from my house, where I can encounter asphalt, dirt, gravel, even short sections of technical trail on a 1 hour run. A standard Pegasus could do the same thing, but almost 28g per shoe heavier in my size. I have the green version which looks awesome with a little dirt on it too.

Thank you for the review! I think the gravel (”GRVL”) designation is by and large a marketing term. I don’t see this shoe doing anything that other Salomon shoes can’t do. They already have the excellent Glide Max TR for non-technical trails, a shoe that can comfortably be worn for long distances on gravel. Also most of their road shoes can handle gravel surfaces. This shoe doesn’t really bring anything new to the table.

For gravel, I would expect full coverage of outsole. I guess the Puma Fast Track was already some kind of gravel shoe.

Looks like a decent Road/Trail Hybrid shoe. But the marketing is weird and I doubt this will catch on. I don't think anybody needs a special shoe for running on gravel. This is just a Pegasus Trail/Hoka Challenger type shoe. It's different with Gravel bikes where a Road Bike is not quite enough, but you don't quite need a MTB.
