Due to the vast nature of the case, there were some omissions regarding Aron Salomon's treatment. It is true that the prevailing attitude was that a businessman should pay his debts. However, the fact that it was a prevailing attitude does not mean to exclude the other attitudes of the London community at the time. It's really a very interesting case and if you are intrigued regarding the anti-semetic treatment of Salomon, I recommend reading- Adams John, Essays for Clive Schmittoff (1983).

Yes he did, as at the conclusion of the case house of lords pronounced that after registeration co. Gets a seperate legal entity which is distinct from the members constituting it.

Bit of a stretch to say that the portrayal of Salomon as a miser or 'grasping merchant' is therefore evidence of 'an anti-antisemitic London', isn't it? Particularly after you quite clearly recognised that the prevailing attitude was that a businessman should pay his debts.
