That wee park is the one I mentioned a couple days ago. It now commemorates the original camping ground in Salou. Most of the full time population non tourists is on the area around that hotel you stayed at, the Planar Hotel and up at Cap Salou. Cheers DougT

I have been to salou with my family a few years ago the park is absolutely beautiful especially in the evening. I was going to go next year along with my boyfriend we were wondering if there is a good nightclub/ dancing scene as I have not previously experienced this on my family trip a few years ago. Thanks for anyone answering❤❤

2:00 Did the intermidate adventure course when I came here. Absolutely terrifying man. Heard there minigolf there sucks though so never did that. Can confirm a lot of French people go to Salou. There was a bunch in my hotel when I went on a school trip, lol.

In the last couple of years, the population has increased a bit more and is now nudging 30,000, Cambrils population is a bit higher at 33,000. The reason Salou has quite a residential appearance is besides the permanent population, much like places like Cornwall, there are loads of people who own second homes, particularly from the Aragon region, with many people from Zaragoza owning an apartment in Salou which they just use for their holidays. With Air B&B and the like, a lot of these now get rented out in the summer, but in the past, many of these apartments sat empty for the vast majority of the year.
