There both so funny to watch especially Helen. 😂 enjoy your time in Salou. Havnt been for around 15 years, its a lovely little resort. Yes not Benidorm but a very nice Spanish resort. The beaches are brilliant in Salou. The sand is so soft under foot, near where you met that couple is/was a Brit owned bar called the Blue Parrot. A great spot to while away a few hours. Cheers DougT

I first stumbled upon James and Helen's Grand Hotel Scarborough video a few months ago. That was great. They also did a Los Cristianos video. My favourite video is of James visiting the British Lawnmower Museum in Southport. We somehow managed to miss it when we stayed at the Prince of Wales hotel a few weeks ago. But we found the one remaining Wetherspoons, which was just across the road (from the hotel).

Right at the end of that line of bars before you get to the steps and walkway for Capellans cove beach is a bar called El Rinconchito del Mar - i could literally stay there all day looking out to sea, and you get a fantastic sunset view as well. Come evening all the fishermen appear and fish off the rocks. Love it there. If they could do up some of those 1970's buildings in Salou then it would be top draw. Still a fantastic place though.

Got to be honest, when our kids were young, it was our go to place but when they stopped wanting to go away with us, we preferred La Pineda as Salou is mainly for families for me. Now the kids are grown up and we now have grandkids, we've been three times in the last few years and will probably be back next year. Honestly Kev, there's a fair chunk of the resort you haven't even seen as it's so big. You have to go up the top of the Ramblas where there are a some live music bars.
