I just installed mine. I think I have the wrong harness because I lost some DII icons. Compass, wrench and phone. I can’t get the dynamic rear camera lines to move even though it’s on in the settings. When I click the phone icon on the steering wheel, the DII says not available, but the head unit brings up the phone display. Even though it’s checked in the settings volume shuts off in reverse. It didn’t work but went away when I was trying to get everything else to work

Huge benefit is the speed. It’s so much faster than OEM screen with no lag. The backup camera is way more crisp and clear. It has all the oem factory features like reset of maintenance minders. The phone mount I have is wireless charging and I attached it via 3M double sided tape.

When you installed in did the volume knob work right away? I noticed that my volume knob doesn’t work when I turn the volume up and down but when I press the knob it mutes and unmutes. You literally can not find.. a better headunit for the money. I researched for 2 hours and then I found this one. My Suzuki Swift needs an upgrade, the stock player does FM and CD, yeah nobody uses that anymore. Here in Norway they shut the FM signal network and now its Dab+.. This player can literally do everything that I want and has great customization options. Well worth the money.

I’ve got a question i’m hoping you can answer for me about this unit. I do have this unit and absolutely love it, its a great upgrade from stock. I’ve already synced my home wifi and phone to it but my question is how do i switch to hotspot on my phone to be able to use for KZbin for example? It show’s connected for a few seconds and then always disconnects? The same thing happens when I connect to my home wifi with it, it connects and then right away disconnects. I’ve reached out to customer support and they told me how and It worked that 1 time but not since then. I use wireless carplay all the time so its not that important but i’d like to be able to switch to my hotspot to watch a video or something if im waiting on someone for example.

Pretty sure you need to use wired CarPlay if you want to free up your Wi-Fi hotspot.

Hi! There is no special plug. The factory settings menu slows you to reset tpms and maintenance reminders.

Hi, is the antenna bypassing step a must? I did not do that and FM radio still works, but not very good, sometime no signal at all. Wonder if I missed this step. Thanks.

It’s a must for me, the radio would not work without bypassing it. Your car may be different since ours is a Touring model with the upgraded amp.

@@Sals_Garage thanks! just did that today, and the radio signal is much better! Had to search youtube for how to take out the back seat trim, sorry, yours is not very clear, also you seemed to play a trick by not opening up the whole thing, just enough space to reach the antenna box. I managed to take out the trim, and then it took me a while to put back in 😞. Anyway, thanks for your video that I got to know that antenna stuff, I was wondering what the adaptor is for in the package.

@@huang8012 right, I knew it was gonna be tricky to put back on so I just took it apart halfway 😆 the instructions don’t say much bout each connector but glad I was able to help you a bit. Everything works except the satellite radio stations for me.

I've had two joying head units and while it's mostly amazing, it has a few nuances that make it impossible to live with. One: the volume only goes like 70% of the stock unit. Too low while driving. Two: Occasionally it will only play sound out of the right front speaking. Three: It occasionally plays white noise out of the speakers even when music isn't playing. Four: The climate control doesn't have a F feature. Huge bummer.

I haven’t had any issues that make me want to go back to stock. The pros outweigh the cons for us.

The only reason I went away from stock is because the stupid thing goes black screen when using carplay occasionally. I'm going to try a kenwood unit with the metra climate control next. If that doesn't solve my issues I'm just going to sell the car and move onto another platform@@Sals_Garage
