Really good complicated dancing moves. I'm really fascinated by them. What is missing a bit is the movement of the whole body and the free arms. It sometimes feals a little bit lost.
@Itaycool14 жыл бұрын
well, after reading all the comments here, here's my 2 cents - I've been dancing for 3 years now, and I'm not sure I could do all those moves... you guys got to this level after only a year? way to go! if those moves are original - you should film them and upload... (and maybe let us know when you do....) I'd love to learn some of those.

@TheTrueRex Brother. I'm cuban too. I've been dacing for a very long time. I learned in Cuba not here in the US. Go to Miami....there are Argentinians, and Americasn that dance as good if not better than many Cubans. They were trained by us but have gotten very good over the years. Ruba, Guaguanco and other rythms may be not but casino for sure.

Love it. Listen up Ukraine - we know your secret now - you have YANEK teaching you guys over there thats why so much great cuban dancing is coming out of that country at the moment - why don't you lend him to us in London for a bit, we got some serious catching up to do!!! Keep posting!
@Mamboro1717 жыл бұрын
hahaaha, we could use some great Cuban teachers in Holland aswell, in de UK you can take classes from Osbanis / Rafael for example and in Germany from Israel. In the Netherlands we do have a dozen Cuban- Salsa schools, most of the teachers are ex-members of the ballet de folklorico de cutumba or similar other groups like that. Great teachers though I would love to take some classes from Yanek aswell.

Yanek have been living in Kiev for three months a year ago and taught many people here.

as for style - this is most obviously Casino style. very technical perhaps, but that that does not make it any less Casino. someone here said it's stiff... well - that takes time... I'm 3 years in and still rather stiff myself... I'd love to see a more recent video of you two...

Hello the song title is "Havana Cola" by "La banda del puerto" It's a Great Band. I like so much cuban style and this guy do right the moves, but i think he is poor in body movement, dont you think? Anyway Good Job!!!! Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

@Ilovesalsa98 I gotta ask: where did you learn "enough about salsa" to say that this is not casino? Because this IS casino style, hands down and no questions asked. And Eddie Torres dances L.A. style (as far as the KZbin videos of him I've watched go). All those turns he does to the girl--that's not casino AT ALL.
@usergvhhyu122317 жыл бұрын
Im cuban, I dance pretty good casino since I was like 12 years old. This kid dances pretty good and knows some good turns. This is probably in the verge between dacing casino and Timba. He's missing a little bit of rythm in his dancing but overall pretty good. Cuban casino is a little more classic and with less complex turns. This probably in the verge of dancing Timba. I like dancing Timba more than casino.

I never took classes from Yanek. Though many people in Kiev attended his classes. I heard many different opinions. I think it's better to go to Cubamemucho event and make your own decision.

Thanks :) And don't forget he dances casino less than a year. Even not all cubans living here can dance this level. I'm not about combinations, i'm about feeling the music. Probably this video is not the best one for demonstrating his flowness, well, it wasn't my purpose. :)

Our national dance' name is Hopak. Even salsa super stars couldn't dance it when we tried to teach them. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try to make something "impossible". One day i'll post another video and you'll admit you was wrong. ;)

Yeah if you can find some clips would love to see them, the man has many fans in UK. Do you know where he is based now? Has he gone back to Cuba?

Excuse me, Eddie Torres doesn't dance casino. At least i've never seen any video of him dancing casino. I cannot say my friends dance superb casino in this video but this video doesn't remind any video of Eddie Torres at all. BTW, i dance both ET style and casino and i like mixing the styles when i dance. I also add some son, rumba, hip hop and movements i invent in a process of dancing if i feel this fits the music.
@Igoroq14 жыл бұрын
@TheTrueRex That's not me in this video. So almost all your message is not for me. You are right, i'm not cuban. I don't pretend i can dance like cuban. You also cannot dance like me :P. I dance my own style and i don't teach others. It's not necessary to be cuban to be capable of adding elements of son, rumba or hip hop to my dance. Just believe, other nations also can improvise :P Probably it's news for you but dances exist beyond stages and dancing academies.
@SonYCasino114 жыл бұрын
@TheTrueRex I think I need to clarify some things for you, my bróder (de cubano a cubano). You don't have to be Cuban to dance good casino (like this couple is doing). True, they might need to use a little bit more flavor in their dance, but so what? Like you said, they're NOT Cuban, and so they have their own styles. More importantly, they are NOT salsa masters like Yanek; so it is VERY unfair to even compare them to pros. Así que cálmate, papo, y déjalos bailar, que lo hacen bien.

Everyone can dance! but only Cuban dance Casino! the Casino style only cuban can dance it, I've been around in many Salsa places in many countries and I haven't seen any casinero dancer, a lot of good dancer but no as Cuban style! to dance as cuban you've to have good ear for music, a good knowledge of the musical beat ( Salsa), to know a basic of Son, guaguancó, mambo and chachacha and plenty of dance theory! La ENA y la ISA estan en Cuba! Saludos!

I'd suggest you don't know a lot about casino style salsa with comments like those. Do you dance this style? Maybe you should post a demo of yourself showing how it's done.

I know a lot enough about salsa to know that this is not casino style. Please have a look on youtube, there are a lot of good dancers. i prefer vids of eddie torres. i hope my comments didnt hurt you to much, but maybe it is also an advice to make it better? it looks hectic despite you like to hear it or not. Regards

There is no spirit of salsa - no happiness, no style, no individuality - technicality, technicality, technicality.
@axlmarchena17 жыл бұрын
ok, maybe u are right, but anyway is not only to learn the movements... u need also to feel the music (latin passion), cause this guy looks like a cyborg, who doesn't have coordination between legs and hands...
@Ilovesalsa9817 жыл бұрын
Sorry to say that, but it doesn't look good. Youre bending too much and too hard. Cause of this, it looks to hectic and not round. In addition to that, you're tall and because of this you have to make an approach to your dancing partner especially when you make a bow, just go a little bit into your knees. It won't look to stiff. But the music is great!

good school of dance, but bad student (robot)jeje, no tiene nada de flow, better dance ur kazachet...
