***3 Dance Training Tips to Improve Your Skills
We set these ballet barres up for a private lesson we taught and then we jumped in and got a mini practice session in, too.
TIP 1
Record video… the camera never lies.

Videos of your dancing lets you see where you want to improve. We record videos for our students, but we also remind them, and you, to also notice the progress you’ve made!
TIP 2
Learn to dance in tight spaces. Adding boundaries, like tables and chairs or ballet barres, when you're practicing will help keep your footwork tight and avoid traveling too far when you get to the club. Just don’t use something that you could trip over and fall.
TIP 3
Zoom in. This allows you to focus your attention on different areas that you want to improve:
* Top half- to gauge your connection, eye contact, arm styling, and spotting
Body- to evaluate your body movement
Lower half- to hone your footwork technique and timing
