Just add the game to your steam library, you’ll need to add the epic games launcher to steam as well, once you have both added, open the epic launcher, open steam, then launch Salt through steam, and configure your controller via steam. Lmk if you have any question!

funny thing, if you dont start the spore mage fight and continue downward, you get trapped at the bottom with no way out. :(

?? That's just not true though. Yes, you need to do the fungalmancer in order to open the mage door in there, as it's the only named mage you can encounter at that point, but you're not "trapped at the bottom with no way out". You can go back up through the cave and then start the fight.

I started with Sumptuousness which gave me the Signet Ring, which is given to one of the PVP covenants iirc.
