It's not just the dirty colossus, there's a slight delay on the visuals on almost all the bosses from the montage. With Leechmonger you can hear the wet steps before the character touches the puddles.

I would love to see elden ring but dang that will definitely be different, with it being open world you can probably just grab most of the stuff you need before fighting any boss, I would actually love to see it tho Also I love your videos and I wish you luck with future videos! I've been trying youtube but am taking a bit of a break because it can be a lot of work for little reward sometimes but I also think it's fun so idk

And I felt powerful getting the dragon bone smasher the first time I played Demon's Souls 2-3 hits a lot of bosses without any upgrades but it does falloff in damage at the late game

Yeah it’s a pain to grind colorless souls for upgrades. Especially difficult to get primordial demons with how world tendency works.

Do Demon Souls have headshot dmg for ranged weapons? Or"vulnerable frames" like hitting someone after kicking them. In Dark Souls 1 it is 40% extra dmg. Or counter damage with thrust damage type? I think it was 20% extra damage in Dark Souls 1. Imo the strongest boss is the Black Phantom version of the Dual Uchigatana Black Skeleton especially if you lack fire,magic, and strike dmg.

As far as I could tell, there isn't "instability" damage in DeS. I think some bosses do take extra damage on headshots, but some also take reduced damage on other body parts as well. I can't 100% confirm that but I'm almost certain that's the case. My vote goes to Doran. I think his stat spread puts him at like SL400ish? Obviously you can cheese him, but a legit fight is really quite difficult.

@@trevthedev6134 It seems you deal 40% more damage multiplier if you hit enemies after a shield deflect(the enemy must bounce back from the shield) and I think after you push them if they fall back. same as the stagger bonus in Dark Souls 1. King Allan also seems to take more damage if hit during his charged aoe attack.

@@TheSuperColonel Yeah I think you are correct. Ironically enough I was just verifying that like 10 minutes ago for a DS1 discussion. I know in DS1 it also applies to enemies who dodge away (most notably bosses, but other enemies can dodge as well).

Tbh given the mechanics of the game, I think the player might be at their most powerful in Demons Souls compared to other games. Late-game Elden Ring stuff is obviously super strong, but even one-shotting False King Allant in NG+5 was pretty easy.

Wouldn't light weapon buff be better than cursed if you had enough magic power like for an over leveld build with same set up just extra levels put into magic?

Nope! At least not if you have a few levels here and there in strength or in dexterity (I guess also if you don’t have a fully upgraded weapon). Especially because of how light weapon works, as it isn’t affected by the rat ring or motion blade on the offhand. For comparison, a Dagger at +5 with 20/20 strength and dex has an AR of 171. At 50 magic, light weapon adds 273 magic damage with the insanity catalyst. If you’re going pure dps and have the clever rat ring, motion blade, and cursed weapon, the AR jumps up above 600, or 3.6 times the original AR when stacked. Keep in mind that due to how damage works, this will usually result in a damage increase closer to 4x. With better weapons (e.g., the Kilij), it’s astronomically stronger than light weapon. Obviously light weapon is safer, but unless you’re going only magic with 0 other investment, cursed weapon is better 99 times out of 100.

If you aren't careful enough with your positioning to actually get the sweetspot damage, doesn't that mean the optimal dps would actually be found with a non-sweetspot weapon?

Yeah that is the case for sure, although I like doing these as thought experiments for “true” optimized DPS.

Demon souls NG+ with second chance you die in 2+1 hits maybe 3+2. Demon souls NG+ hypermode NG+ with second chance you die in 1+1 hits and you do 240% of your AR from ring and morion blade likely overcoming any enemy "strong"defence regardless of your dmg type. Bows and thief ring you can likely 1 shot almost any basic enemy on NG+ in hyper mode max 2 shots often outside from their aggro range.

That’s more or less how I did my platinum run. Hyper mode + lava bow for levels and then firestorm for bosses. Still died a lot lol

Well obviously more attack = more damage, but generally how the “tiers” work is you are multiplying your attack by a maximum of 0.9 and minimum of 0.1. All the other numbers are just how the game calculates the actual % that you multiply your attack by. At 8x the enemy defense, damage = 0.9 x attack at 1/8 the enemy defense, damage = 0.1 x attack. For the other 3 tiers, damage = somewhere between 0.9 x attack and 0.1 x attack.

Basically, lower attack decreases your damage twice. Your attack stat does less damage and the enemy defense lowers it even more.

Hey I know this seems like a lot of work, but could you dedicate a few hours of your life to create a video showing an extremely broken beginning of the game in Darksouls 3, from the beginning of character creation to being able to level up a weapon to +10, without cuts, showing all the paths you take and all the bonfires you access, I know this could take hours, but could you do this for the new community? You must have hundreds of hours of DS3 so you must have already memorized the places, create a new character and show the way of how to get +10 Estus Flask, how to get a +10 weapon, as you mentioned recording the video without cuts can be tiring, so make cuts, but always show the location of the bonfires and the places you are going, the most frustrating thing about watching a game guide when you are a new player is not knowing what the person showing the video means by those random locations, without having a path to show. I know you may not get many views, but I believe you will enjoy doing this because you are bringing something constructive to the community.

Yeah, tbh, I find doing this melee is more interesting. Especially in Demons Souls where I think the route would be even more streamlined. At least this way I got to use a few different weapons on my journey!
