Are the controls working? I cant seem to switch tabs in inventory screen. ( i had finished the game on ps4 at launch) i am using pro controller with switch and cant find out how to switch tabs in inventory.

I love this game. I was playing it on my Vita about a month ago & thought to myself that they should port it to switch. That same day I checked the estore for future games & saw it! I was so happy. just finished the game on the dominion ending, heres some things i found while playing: the collapsing platforms were easy early on, but require near perfect timing later on, which gets extremely annoying. the bosses range from easy as cake (the mire boss anyone?) to bosses where as soon as you miss a dodge you die (the forgotten king and his 2 teammates). The Red walls didn't have any use besides as hard stops to exploration, while the moon light platforms were utilized as platforms, wall extensions, AND doors. I think they could have improved on those red walls is what I'm saying. and the final boss? 1 4-chain combo, a lock on missile barrage that will annihilate you if you're caught in it, 2 lunge attacks, and a long range melee attack. easy as cake. But when the lunge grab attack lodged me into the boss room walls for the 9th time with no escape possible, i got mad. You can also exit the boss room by wall jumping twice, which re-locks the camera onto the boss, so you have no clue whats happening on your end, and he gets all the time in the world to attack you off-screen. there's a room in the sunken castle (i think thats what its called) that you can't escape from without the wall jump, but you can easily enter without it. If you have no return bells and have already killed the enemies in the next room, you're soft locked. But, for a game made by a whopping 2 people, its pretty good.

This game is better than any AAA game I can think of. Read dead redemption 2, assasins creed, horizon zero down, last of us, you name it this one eats it. This is a videogame not a movie and is a masterpiece, didn't know it was 2 guys damn!!!!!

Game is definitely worth it if you like the Soulsbourne games. Platinum'd this game on PS4, so much fun. Made by the same people who did Dishwasher Samurai. love the hand drawn style.

You can actually beat that first boss, it just doesn't penalize you for losing. It does a lot of damage, but has a very predictable pattern, so you just have to dodge roll and hit it. Takes a good 5-10 minutes though, but you get a unique item from it

Physical release comes out sometime in the fall,I like this way more than hollow knight,due to the blood and gore,as well as the main character not looking like it belongs in rockos modern life,Slain Back From Hell is also on switch,my favorite indie game so far,can't wait for Blasphemous.

I'd say the main differences between hollowknight and salt and sanctuary are that hollowknight is mostly metriodvania with a bit of dark souls thrown in( mostly in it's dark souls style storytelling) whereas salt and sanctuary is pretty much 2d dark souls. Both are worth buying and which you like better is mostly up to personal preference. Though I should mention, hollowknight isn't exactly shy to dark imagery or anything, it just doesn't have much blood and gore since every enemy is a bug so they don't exactly bleed.

Also by tiny character do you mean that you're bothered by the character's size compared to the screen, or bothered by the fact that the character is literally tiny in the game's world(since they're a bug).

The uncertainty is killing me man. Even when you are sure you're gonna do something you still go with the "well I guess I will go see if I can kill this boss. Hmm, I’ve never played any Souls games, so it looks like a more intense Castlevania to me. It looks interesting. I would probably get lost going in and out so many times. I did hear that a physical version is coming, the “Drowned Tome” edition for the end of October for $30. I will be picking that version up.

The first boss is actually kind of easy,you just have to be naked for fast rolls, his atacks are slow and predictable

I have it on PC and PS4, now also on Switch. It's an okay port but the player character seems super small in portable mode and everything is blurry compared to a game like hollow knight, but that may just be the art style

Do you record handheld footage with a camera overlooking the switch, because if you do I dont think it does the game justice graphically, and people pass unjust judgment on what they think to be the actual graphical quality of the game in handheld mode. Maybe worn people that the graphics aren't as sharp do to the way recording handlheld mode is done.

I remember when this game came out in Italy everyone was talking about it, not for the game itself, but for one of the worst adaptation and translation ever seen in game hystory. Anyway, it is a pretty good game and the porting looks amazing, I think I'll buy it.

excellent game, but the balance for character seems little off. They should do justice for DEX build because DEX build literally extra hard mode and STR build just roflstomped everything. 1handed Greatsword+Tower shield+Heavy armor and you become unbreachable fortress who soaked up attack without budging a bit and hit like a buffed truck

a my opinion I feel like this game was more highly inspired by bloodborne because of the flintlocks and the bow guns because I feel like dark souls mainly sticks to the medieval theme of just nights why blood-borne course had the hunters that dressed up and these golf day Victorian style armor against the were there's somehow protected them even though it was just normal clothing but at the same time I can also see how the night part was inspired more by dark souls so maybe you could say it's a mixture of both rather than that I think this game was really fun and really amazing to play cuz you know it has its own feel and you know it differs from its other two successors running that it's pretty fun game

Alejandro Diaz actually in the sanctuary you can see the framedrops (I noticed it when I played the pc version) and yes, framedrops in hagers cavern are noticeable (handled mode)

Not really. Flash games looks like someone cut out pictures in a magazine and made them the game's textures, whereas here, there is good lighting, depth, and fluid animation. Just because it is 2d doesn't mean a lot of thought wasn't put into it. I'd argue any day that more thought was put into the combat in this game than the combat in recent Call of Duty's and GTA's.

I loved this game! Made several awesome builds and really helped bond with one of my stepsons, he’s into stuff like this as am I. He even still plays it from time to time, sadly I do not....for some reason this game after what I’ve theorized, corrupts my data after hundreds of hours and awesome builds (especially high level super builds, and even some low level beast that the game knew I would fuck em up as I progressed!!! Causing me to never fully upgrade some cool builds, R.I.P. Tammy) UGH!!! *sigh* but I digress, fucking bad ass game! Kinda felt like he undersold it but whatever.

This is one of the best metriodvania games that has come out in recent memory. Its actually quite a difficult game to master and the level design gets very confusing. I do like it a lot, but i feel that this game is way too hard for the Nintendo audience. i'm betting most people will quit by the second boss fight.

Nope, there’s a big weapon variety, with great swords, axes, Spears, bows, magic, whips, etc. You can even get a great sword that is a giant pair of scissors to cut up enemies!

fyi this game runs very well and is not blurry on the ps vita. its very crisp on that system. for some reason all the ports are really blurry on the switch.

Sorry Spawn, it probably won't go to Xbox. Ska Studios had a falling out with Microsoft back when they were making games for the Xbox Live Arcade so they switched over to Sony for Salt & Sanctuary.
