A simple and fun project that elevates salting your food. This is made on the lathe with traditional tools, a band saw and a drill press. You can use a regular drill if you want instead - and maybe you used a chainsaw to create your wood blanks. whatever the case, there are many ways to accomplish goals.

7:40 or so... I was going to ask how you could stand those shavings hitting the outside of your hand. I know that I can take it for only a few seconds. I nearly always wear a pair of "Ironclad Framer" gloves for just that reason. I know the Safety Sallies clutch their pearls when they associate lathes and gloves, but hey. Nicely done video and box. Thanks! Ya, the safety stuff, super important of course. Most of the time I do wear gloves too. I must have been feeling particularly invulnerable that day.
