This is gorgeous. The intro is dramatic and a great lead in. Thank you.

Sir, you pluck the heartstrings of this old finger style guitarist's heart. I just bought a James Tyler JTV-59 Variax and before every born banjo-pickin purist starts a'huckin road apples at me for speaking in the same breath of a DSP based instrument and DADGADgum tuning and all, I no sooner tried out the combination than I laid may axe aside and googled my "Bluebird Banjo" way to your awesome 'tube. Many thanks to you for your lesson in how it's really done! (I couldn't afford a banjo and a guitar both, but just 'listen to my bluebird laugh'...)

Robert Ruork Hello Robert .. thanks for the really kind words .. I will always remember Stephon Stills first bit of clawhammer with BS .. My room mate was going out with Judy Collin's little sister at the time so that made the tune even more interesting since the song was written for Judy ! All the best , Guy

Im like you . I just go at it . Your on your way . I saw your clip just now .. The more you play these tunes the crisper they get . I use my right hand pinky to do some washes or brushes of background chords . All the best and thanks for the kind words. Guy

Yey , I dont know the name either but a brush or wash seems to sound like the right thing. If you vamp that out a bit you get a cluck !!! A lot of players use a bit of vamping or muffling out the sound of the strings for a rhythm thing . All the best , Guy
