Have you ever heard of Lagoon Amusement Park TAPP? It's about 20 minutes to the north of SLC.

@@TAPPChannel It's a huge theme park in the Salt Lake area that reminds me a lot of what Bay Beach has to offer, but with a lot more thrills and rides older kids can enjoy too. The park includes two Gerstlauer Eurofighter roller coasters named Wicked and Cannibal. I believe Wicked launches you vertically upwards and then vertically downwards and Cannibal includes a 208 feet tall beyond vertical drop. I've never been there, but it does look like fun and worth a visit, just as Bay Beach was for me.

If you enjoy outdoorsy stuff, this is the place for you. There are a dozen world class ski resorts within an hour of downtown. Lots of hiking trails in and around the city. Bike friendly too.

I'm sure you had the proper FAA clearances to fly in those areas, especially that close to an international airport.

airport is 6miles from the closet spot I flew into... FAA is ok with it if you fly outside that range... In many situations you can get quickly approved by FAA (thru Kittyhawk app) if its closer than 5miles but I never fly closer to the airport than 5miles so I don't have to be worry about this. Thanks for asking

He already replied, but as a local, yes... he was clear to fly those areas under the ceiling he was obviously flying. He was clear of the Bravo airspace. There is a transition overhead but he was underneath that and flying within 400 ft radius of buildings or terrain which allows him to fly up to 400 ft over the top of those features.
