Salt Lake is such a beautiful town .I went to school at BYU in Provo,along the fantastically scenic Wasatch Front. But on the weekends we all used to head to SLC to have some fun. Provo was beautiful but boring ! Thanks for posting this . I've been gone from Utah for many years and really miss it.

Currently a student in Provo! While boring in the winter months, there are so many amazing hiking spots very close to town. Utah really is a beautiful state.

Thanks Chris! Smooth process with the FAA clearance - applied through DroneZone and got a permission within a week or two.

@aaronkamakaze2967 Жыл бұрын
@SKHomer1 culture of the 3 cities are all pretty similar now. The demographics, politics and natural beauty are all pretty equal. Only thing that SLC and portland has that boise doesn't is a really good public transit system and professional sports teams. Im most likely moving to Wilsonville which is a suburb 30 min from downtown Portland... politics are more balanced then downtown portland and the demographic is more for families. Portland won mostly because of the more mild weather and closer to the ocean

@@aaronkamakaze2967 How is the culture of Boise & SLC anything like Portland? lol. Two lean pretty heavy conservative and one extremely liberal. Yeah Portland is near the ocean but the cold north ocean. Not much to do with it other than look at it. And its constantly raining.

salt lake city just needs one building that stands out taller than the rest.
@gameface60912 жыл бұрын
It is literally not allowed. No building can stand taller than the LDS church office building by zoning ordnance. It doesn't say "You can't be taller than the church office building" but in effect the limit on building height ensures that the church office building that I think was built in the 70s will always be prominent in the skyline.
@dennishooper84032 жыл бұрын
@@gameface6091 Sorry, but you are so incorrect. The Wells Fargo building is and has been taller than the LDS church office building. The new Astra Tower will be the tallest building in Salt Lake when it is finished at 39 floors. The height limits are not written around the Church office building height.
@gameface60912 жыл бұрын
@@dennishooper8403 The church office building is on a hill. It stands above the Wells Fargo building in the skyline. Not by number of floors, but in actual elevation above sea level. Oh, and the Astra Tower is being built by a real estate arm of... the LDS church. I also wouldn't be surprised to learn in the next few years of a plan to replace the current, ageing and completely uninspiring church office building, with a new state of the art building.
@dennishooper84032 жыл бұрын
@@gameface6091 The actual height in feet for the Wells Fargo Building is greater than the Church office building. This is from street level. Currently the Wells Fargo Building is the tallest building in Salt Lake City and the State.
@trevorjameson3213 Жыл бұрын
@@dennishooper8403 That Wells Fargo building is the tallest in the state? That's interesting, and it's not even very tall. But I'm from Dallas and uptown Dallas is much larger than all of downtown Salt Lake City. Doesn't even include downtown Dallas which has it's tallest building at 980'. So to me, Salt Lake City looks like a very beautiful small city.

The LDS church is dying. Most of the people moving here are not LDS. They’re moving here for the amazing hiking, skiing, national parks, and one of the most diversified and strong economies in the country… Now it’s just a shame this place won’t be livable for much longer.
