You are so wrong. I’m born and raised in salt lake. There is almost no outdoor activities in salt lake very few close by. High rent and almost as high crime rate. Restaurants and groceries are also pretty pricey (Smith’s at least $3.50 for a gallon of milk) The people are usually very rude and stuck up and most are extreme Mormon and if don’t believe in the Mormon religion they treat you like you are a pice of trash. Maybe a nice bit to visit but NOT to live.

Asia black the city is cradled by a mountain range that has arguably some of the best snow in the world, the tetons/yellowstone 4 hours away, 3 1/2 hours from moab/arches, the sawtooth range 5 hours away. So what do you mean no outdoors stuff?

Very beautiful environment and downtown. Very nice. And mot much traffic and a nice place for shopping and park city is A beautiful town, and very beautiful and great resorts and a very nice Olympic museum, which is one of the funnest things you can do. There is a lot of nice places to shop and also not a lot traffic either. And with all of the temple and the tabernacle is amazing to watch and it’s just amazing place to go to and then also you have a Delta Center which you can book some cool shells and a very nice place to go watch a basketball game or show

@@paulohenriquenovais9526 The Great Salt Lake is rather smelly. The lake is full of brine shrimp. That, and how salty it is make it smell that way. Also with all the brine shrimp there is an abundance of annoying insects. If you don't visit in early spring before the hatch, it's not very pleasant.

SLC is unbelievably beautiful. A truly underrated gem for those seeking a laid back getaway. For black travelers, you’ll encounter some micro-aggressions and some subtle disdain but don’t let that intimidate you. Go with a group of astute friends and keep to yourselves the best you can and you’ll have a great time!

Microaggression mi·cro·ag·gres·sion | \ ˌmī-krō-ə-ˈgre-shən \ Definition of microaggression : a comment or action that subtly and often unconsciously or unintentionally expresses a prejudiced attitude toward a member of a marginalized group (such as a racial minority) A digital photo project run by a Fordham University student about "racial microaggressions" features minority students holding up signs with comments like "You're really pretty … for a dark-skin girl." -Merriam-Webster

A bit of an over generalization....You shouldn't be worried at all coming to Utah. There might be some cultural things that are quirky and some people that haven't been around a predominantly black culture much, but SLC is pretty diverse. Utah has one of the highest populations of Pacific Islanders in the U.S., so Polynesian Culture is well established. You'll find many amazing people from Samoa, Tonga and Hawaii that have deep roots in Utah. Also, large Hispanic populations and many different cultures from around the world due to the influence of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Missionaries travel the globe sharing the Gospel, and immersing themselves in all cultures of the world, so many Missionaries come back with cultural influences, and a lot of people from foreign countries move here because of the Church as well. There is a large contingent of refugees' from around the globe as well, as Utah really looks to constantly increase the refugee population as the infrastructure and support base is really good. www.washingtonpost.com/national/trump-gave-states-the-power-to-ban-refugees-conservative-utah-wants-more-of-them/2019/12/02/d8de7b00-1085-11ea-a533-90a7becf7713_story.html
