With the ball being 3.7 grams, that makes the 350 fps into roughly 21 joules. Ouch, that would sting a bit.

I use this tape it sticks great and thin enough never tried it on the salt S2 but its great if your working on something you don't want to scratch Heat Tape for Sublimation Transfer, Heat Resistant, Adhesive Transfer Tape amazon has it, personally I'm fine with the power I get from the S2

Bought S2 recently, also in New England (Rhode Island). I'm going to Mod mine as well, just wondering if the holes are just a byproduct of the design or have a function?

Well the hole on top is actually to unload a ball in the breech with a small tool included with the S2 The space where the detent is is just part of the design

Thank you and God bless. I don’t think I’d be willing to risk that just yet because it’s too permanent. But since I posted this I sealed the clear packaging tape with clear weather stripping tape. I think that’s the best answer. Thanks for watching

Good modification but the only problem I see and I have three of these guns (markers) what do you do when you do have to get a ball out of the chamber also every once in awhile the magazine itself will Jam where you have a hard time getting it out once you block up that hole what do you have to do to take the whole gun apart and remove the tape so you can get access to it that's the only concern I have

Just use a very thin tape. I swapped it for weather sealant tape. If it’s too thick the mag binds up

Dont do that, just degas and put in a new cartridge (unpierced) for later, they are like 50 cents to $1 per co2 cartridge. Its not worth relying on old gas/cartridge to keep its charge. Usually co2 cartridges once pierced NEVER hold over a long time, even under they most sealed condition. Not sure why. Its just usually always like that

I’m not sure. But the LTL is a .50 cal. This is a .68. I know we’ve gotten over 400 fps with the modified Hdp50. That is pretty much the same inside as the LTL. So if you remove the valve block it might be possible
