I’ve watched since the first episode and can’t believe it was 2018 when you started! How does the time fly by so quickly! I’ll be 70 this year and can’t believe that either. I’m so grateful to you for doing these videos and showing us your beautiful stitching and quilting. I look forward to each and ever6 one and I go back and watch your quilting ones often when I’m sewing on a quilt. I just finished Let Love Reign. I did it for our 50th wedding anniversary. My husband died 8 weeks ago so I put a push on to finish it. You are right. It is beautiful.

Truly enjoyed your visit with me. My local store closed a few years ago and most of the stitchers have stopped stitching, moved or pursuing other avenues of stitching. I have been stitching since September 1978 when I moved from my hometown of Los Angeles to Pittsburgh. My husband was transferred 3 months after we were married, I needed a hobby as I didn’t know anyone in Pittsburgh and found the stitching community the people were amazing and talented So off and on I have been quilting and stitching for 45 years I love British TV too, I am watching All Creatures and working on the sampler of the same name I love everything you stitch thanks for sharing and inspiring

I agree so much with what you said about watching folks who stitch things that I may not stitch. I enjoy seeing the variety of genres that are out there and appreciate that the industry has come so far from the days when Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum and Teresa Wentzler were revolutionary and the only fabric choices we had were white, antique white and black. And no matter what the genre that we stitch, the craft, skill and effort is the same and we should be able to appreciate and applaud that. I've also found new designers, shops, fabric and threads from watching different channels. It was fun to see your finished/not framed pieces in addition to your current work. 🪡👠

My mom lives in Valdosta they got hammered this time. She’s been there 30 yrs and I think they are all shocked cuz normally they don’t really get hit! Yikes! I recently started Let Love Reign (actually a restart as I didn’t like the fabric I first picked) and am in love with my linen choice this time. 36 ct Grey Sand by XJuDesign. Every time I take it out of the qsnap to move it I just sit and admire it. I’m dedicating this piece to my husband and myself - 50 years in 2024. So my goal is finished and framed by our wedding anniversary next year.

I relate to how you use the border as a guide when you stitch. I like to do the border first and then work from there and if it doesn't meet, I will restitch it. Everyone has to do what works for them I guess. I also watch some flosstubers that are not exactly what I would stitch but I enjoy listening to them and seeing what they're working on. One I really enjoy so much as her voice is so lovely is Homespun Hand Made. I also enjoy The Blue Flower as she has short videos, talks about nature and does research to educate us, and she also has adorable dog videos at the end.

Thank you for the flosstube. Bless your husband for getting you started! I’m sitting here rewarding myself because I finished Martha Evans yesterday with a Blackbird small! Loved seeing all your unframed Blackbird's. I agree with the others you need to bite the bullet and frame your own. I always hated framing my cross stitch and had my husband do mine but he wasn’t a real fan of framing either. I watched Kitten Stitcher’s tutorial on framing and decided I’d give it a go. Amazingly I can frame my own pieces now! It does take me time but it’s thrilling to be able to do it myself as I love being able to do stuff when and how I want it. As far as frames, I get mine from Custom Frame solutions. I wait for sales and usually purchase 4 or more at a time. It was scary at first since I felt I was buying blind but to date I’ve bought 17 frames from them and only 2 weren’t what I thought they were going to be. I actually didn’t read all the widths and depths of the frames, lesson learnt. It isn’t that I didn’t like them they were just different than I thought. All the rest were better than I saw on the computer and I’m extremely happy with them. Glad the hurricane was a mild one. Yes, becoming complacent is a problem for us in the south. All the tv hype and it’s a yawn and then the hit comes that one isn’t prepared for because you know, they yelled wolf too many times.

Your samplers are so pretty and beautifully stitched. You vindicated me because I, too, have many pieces finished but not fully framed or completely done. And I definitely understand you not wanting to join the courage sal that others are doing with Pam. My daughter is in 1 yr remission from colon cancer. I thought I could get on board and volunteer to make the knitted knockers for cancer patients but I just can’t. So, I get you.
