Liz, I had a Rottweiler that LOVED to destroy toys ESPECIALLY, ones with squeaky things in them. One time she squeaked the toy for about 20 minutes before I told her enough. She squeaked it one more time. She actually would destroy kongs especially if they had a squeaky in it or had feet or those devil ears. We had to get the ones that were totally molded & no squeaky in it for her. She was a beauty.

Great video like always. Deb, Jean Farish has a tip for floss that's all zig zag or curly. She takes a small plastic container that you could put salad dressing in; mine is a 4oz container, she cuts a sponge to fit in the container. You get the sponge wet but not dripping wet and put in the container. She then will drag the floss across the sponge to take out the kinks. The floss dries super quick and it doesn't knot as bad. I love using this tip for my floss even when I use floss drops because the floss gets curly when you take one strand out. I hope that makes sense, I'm not very good at explaining stuff. I have some Nurge hoops and I got mine from Amazon, love them. I love your gadgets and tips Liz, and I'm always looking forward to hearing what you find.

I had what I thought was a beautiful oil on black velvet painting of Tweety-pie, the cute yellow bird that drove the cat nuts. My boys about 5 and 7 at the time, were terrified of it. I couldn't hang it anywhere. I've never had a dog that enjoyed the water, but my MinPin is beyond terrified. I think something must have happened to her before I adopted her. I love Nurge products. I have a wooden lap stand by Nurge. Without it I wouldn't be X-stitching due to an overuse injury to my left wrist. Yes, you can do too much X-stitching. 😢

I use bobbins for my floss. If I run a damp paper towel over the floss, the creases disappear. The nurge hoops seem to be popular. It sounds like the work like the Morgan hoops.

In UK we don't have many if any brick and mortar needlework shops so when a craft show was on near me I went to it, it was mostly card making but the first thing I saw as I walked into the venue was the Nurge frame . Very reasonable price so I bought one. It's great and really holds the fabric taught. I envy you the shops you have for needlecraft. We have Hobbycraft but it is very limited just DMC and Aida. I enjoy your videos very much ,Thank you . Anne

I purchased a couple of the Nurge hoops from Colorado Stitcher Shop. I have the green #3 and blue #2. The blue is a nice in hand size. The green is larger, and I may try it with a stand. I do like them for holding the fabric tight. I do not leave my fabric in the hoop overnight because of the fold marks on the fabric.

I love the story of the Raggedy Ann dolls. When my oldest daughter (who is in her fifties) was three years old, we purchased a Raggedy Andy doll at a bazaar. The Ann doll had already been sold. He has always been Raggedy Pete. This daughter has a few sets of the dolls. A few years ago she made me a giant set of Raggedys which sit in an antique rocking chair in my front room. My granddaughter (who is about to give birth to her first child) just hates those dolls. She insists that they're evil based on some horror movie she saw. When she comes to visit, she'll sometimes throw a blanket or her coat over them. I'd love to buy a cute little set of Raggedys for Baby Santiago, but I'm not that mean. Love your show so much. I keep contemplating a montage to honor my late husband so I love to see the updates on yours. Liz, I always enjoy your "twinness". I'm also a twin. We're both cross stitchers and crafters.

You both always show such lovely needlework projects! Deb, it was so nice to see your montage again. Liz, I like your idea for stitching parts of the Summer Quaker piece by Lila in different ways! Hope you both enjoy your get away with stitching friends. Regarding dogs and water, my sister had a border Collie who absolutely loved the water. She had no fear whatsoever, and we're talking salt water here. When she was my brother's dog, they'd take her for a swim in the Gulf of Mexico when they were stationed in Mississippi, and when my sister adopted the dog later, they'd bring her down to Sandy Hook, NJ where she would enjoy a dip in the bay. They had to keep a careful eye on her, because she was so fearless and would try to swim out too far . So Liz, I don't know if all border collies like water, but this one sure did😊. Deb, I did email you my address a few weeks ago when you did your stitching video and announced my name as the winner of the Elizabeth Potter Clark sampler, but I will email you again in case it didn't get to you the first time. Enjoy the end of summer ladies😊

Wonderful to see you both again. It makes my day when your new Flosstube show up on my screen. Deb, thanks for answering my questions about Quakers and Quilts. Your piece is lovely. But I do have 1 more question. The pattern calls for using all 3 strands of the Valdani on 28 count. Do you remember how many strands you used on your 32 count linen? 3 strands seem so thick but then the coverage on yours is perfect. Thanks again for answering. You are so helpful to us new and returning stitchers.
