Pricing is total trash in SC. A pair of gloves is 350 and sell price is 45. Its a F'ing joke. You used to deliver crates for 5k per. Now its hilariously low nearly nothing for deliveries. Some are less than 1k per box. I don't even bother since the glitches with deliveries are horrible. The only thing they didn't nerf was combat and the trade for large ships, because that sells ships. This all is fine, truly, who cares how miserable it is to make money. What infuriates me is the price changes for ships that are mostly worthless, so that the poor can't even have fun. Aurora ES was 250k and 2.2k to rent. It is now 492k to buy and 8.8k to rent. Its just total BS the reduction in income followed by the stupid price increases on everything.

The price change makes sense to me personally, given the frequency of wipes. Used to be all the time, so ships were cheap so we had a chance to earn them and enjoy them for a while before we got reset. These days, you can earn 250k with a starter ship in one session easily. Saving for a couple of sessions to have a cheap ship for the next two years or so seems pretty balanced. Biggest problem for me is that game loops are so tiered. Bunkers you can max out with a starter ship, then bounties with a cheap fighter, hauling/trading you can make chump change with but need an expensive ship to properly access, and you can't do any mining or salvage till you earn a few mil. Ideally, every loop should be viable to earn some money with using a starter ship (hand mining and salvaging and working box missions are the way to go) and then every loop should require specialist investment to see the full earning percentage of.

To be clear, I am not anti-wipe. I knew this was coming and I am generally fine with it. My main frustration right now is that pricing is not economy. There is literally no real demand paired with infinite supply and cash injections. We literally have a purely inflation-based economy. Maybe I am being pedantic, but it bothers me that they are implying that they will be able to track anything meaningful in terms of the "economy" by wiping money now. Like you were saying - there is no way we don't need several more wipes as (and if) real economic features come online.

cig have taken away any GOOD reason to play the "game" - lower pay outs, looting is gone, it was simpler with local inventory, cargo game play is set out as if you have time for a real life job experience rather than making it fun. ship prices have gone up. so in other words, fun has been ripped from your hands and focus placed on spending REAL money in a "hidden" pay to win game. i still remain at my last played time, 3.23 for 15 minutes and never again since.

This. Everything you said can be summed up with "the game in its current state isn't fun", which is 100% spot on. People wouldn't mind the grind if the grind was actually fun. It's not. It's like the opposite of fun. Doing the same bland tier 0 missions over and over is repetitive and boring. Not to mention, they're the same missions we've been playing for what, 6-7 years now? On top of that, you're also constantly fighting bugs, horrible server performance, braindead AI, the new shitty master modes system and griefing dickheads. Pyro releasing? Great! Now we can do the same boring shit with slightly different scenery! This game honestly just sucks now and I don't really see it getting better anytime soon.

Finally ! A wipe. Because of their "physical inventory" i had farmed tons of gears stockpiled in every stations or cities in Stantons to gear up quickly when entering the game or dying, but every new patches everything would go into my spawning location inventory (mostly lorville) and my inventory over there was unplayable by now, finding anything was a core and so much stuff bugged. Cleaning my inventory for me dont seem to be a bad idea.

we actually do, have websites were you can buy armor/weapons etc, in bulk then meet up with said vault holder for the sell of the weapons. like I know my org has over 1000 rail guns (just rail guns) alone that are available for sale.

I can say for sure that I will either go into contested zones with so many Org members that loosing will be practically impossible or just stay away. I do fear that Pyro will be a completely empty system because industrial players will stick to Stanton or go into Pyro so strong in numbers that there will be no idea for pirates and other PvP'ers to wait for them to enter. I am not exactly happy for a wipe because I do have some ships I bought in-game that I like to keep, but it also not devastating to me because I feel like I have a good place to start over from.

Yes, gathering rep and money is always pointless in a pre-release test environment. Wipes are part of building and deploying systems. Star Citizen just happens to be a very large test environment with lots of goodies to accumulate, for no real long-term reason, both because it's still in test and because they still haven't given up any tangible in-game motivations for doing anything, as Mike often says.

With all the patches I recall, we've only lost consumables, the ammo and food. I have retained all my undersuits, armor, weapons, attachments, clothing, utility tools, cargo containers, and in game bought vehicles and ships. Personally, I welcome this reset. Gives me stuff to do again rather than plink around to watch my cred numbers go up.

If you notice with PTUs, on the first iteration, spend your 15 mil on showroom ships. Then on the next PTU iteration, the aUEC ships are gone, but your money is still spent. Every PTU does this, and should be a clue of what's going to happen when it goes live. The same will happen, your aUEC ships disappear, and you still lose your grind money. I quit grinding over a year ago, too frustrating. I ignore live and only play test builds. Currently we are on EPTU 4.0 wave one. Let's see how the aUEC ship status ends up with the next iteration.?

Cargo hauler can, and probably will mostly (not entirely) avoid those things, I mean, I'm an industrial player, both reclaimer and ironclad (well, they only lend me the cat for now), and concierge. I'm a very typical non-pvp player. like for player as myself, weapons, both ship weapon and personal weapon, doesn't worth a dollar. as for armor, shop front light armor and environmental suits are all I need. I didn't touch F8A ticket thing, and for siege of Orison, I only do the shipping part, transport medical supply to mission point. so, any fighter vehicle doesn't interest me. I mean think about it, PVE is a lot more straight forward than PVP, so I don't need any ship component that is unique or hard to get, I only need shop stuff, like seriously, I only need a good QT and some industrial cooler and leave everything else factory loadout. What I'm saying above is, not all PVE player, but for non-combat basiced player, those unique things that only can get from PVP, doesn't matter. So it is ok that it limited to the PVP guys, they do need it to get some edge against other players, but industrial player like myself doesn't need those at all. So my guess is, it would only angry guys whos on boarder of PVP and PVE, because if you're a good light fighter pilot, factory loadout is enough for you to do almost all PVE missions. you can even loan a loaner Arrow from any major space port and use that to do bounty. Special ship component only needed, when you fighting another human player, which is A LOT HARDER than you do with a NPC ship.

@ CIG hasn’t done a full item wipe in a while. There are people who lose weapons and ships when they patch live servers when they shouldn’t be. When CIG mentions that items that are purchased from the store won’t be wiped, it is safe to say that ships purchased in game will be wiped as well.

I don't know how many times itneeds to be mentioned: the game is in Alpha. Anythibg you earn in game will be wiped prior to the game going to a 1.0 Live release. There is zero reason to complain about wipes. Personally, I would rather they wipe every patch since it's still the only way to recover lost items bought with real money.

I don’t get the 3 pillar wipe. I can see all the equipment but not the auec or rep.

Well , no reason to play til 4.0 Unless your idea of fun is just logging in and hanging out in chat or doing pointless activities for no gain.

With that mentality, you might as well just not play until the game is 1.0 because ALL the alpha stuff will be wiped and EVERYTHING you gained will be all for naught. Lol

This game is more fun when wipes occur. Having a lot of money kills the fun. Bring on the wipe!

I'm at the point with this game, that people all closing their wallets and the drama around all of that would be more entertaining than 8+ more years of the sh*tshow this development will be.
