So many times they have shown features at Citizencon for them to take years to appear in the PTU or we are still waiting for said features. dont fall for hype" and so many people replied that im wrong and it was a ready feature. I made that comment almost 10 months ago

@@crsferfermost games are a lot better in most aspects. Star Citizen does have unparalleled detail though. It’s just a shame the game is a beautiful empty shell.

progression system is being used to say "zelda dungeon puzzle" its not progression for the player, its progression through a facility using a "find the red key card to get in here" oh but i have a blue key card so were does this open?"

Offering loot options post-3.24 is a mixed bag. With the loss of local inventory and the difficulty of actually looting anything, offering loot is ludicrous. Gotta go on missions with a 2 SCU crate in tow. Hire Nodwick to follow you through a mission and pick up the items. If we could more readily accumulate loot...

There will literally never be "progression" until wipes never happen again. That's the point you should have made. As long as there is hilarious susceptibility to lose any and all effort you put in over a play period, the game isn't a "game". Oh, and game systems that are beyond tier 0. Who tf cares if you have 700 million credits? What is there to do with that? One single unfinished system with a second one coming, we're still a long way off.

Watch them add actually new and unique colored versions of armors in those crates and millions of aUEC that make people flock to the event like crazed vultures. My expectation though is some other golden/platinum ticket event for the Polaris or Idris packaged with SQ42 because of all the citcon hype that will be around when it comes out in 4.0.

I still they they could add some legendary armor like the following. Light allows cloaking, med has a jet pack, heavy has a shield. These legendary armors do not allow you to wear a backpack because your back will have a pack for the abilities. Having the chest piece on gives so much of the ability. Light chest 1 sec of cloak, med 1 sec of jet pack, heavy 50 shields. Putting on other pieces of the set will increase these abilities. For Light and med head legs and arms gives 0.75 sec for duration maxing at 3.25 sec of cloak and jet pack. Heavy head legs and arms increases shields by 0.333% to a max of 100 shields.

They need to start tying things to the lore of the game and have lore events, with characters, narratives, impact on the universe, etc etc..otherwise the "rewards" will just feel hollow at some point.."hey look I have this armor/weapon/ship/etc over and over is not enough to hold the game together.

So normally I'm more of a lurker however this replay of the stream makes me feel some things. One just because your idea of progression does not meet with what may or may not be happening in Star Citizen does not constitute progression in general, you don't go from concept to fully developed playable 1.0 in major Leaps and Bounds you get there by making small incremental changes progress forward is still progress forward

here is something that worries me, if we are going to have an end goal then there is pay to win in this game, something that has been said this game is not suppose to be and with an end goal they will be proven wrong. I like that there is at a minimum a debate as to whether this game is play to win or not.

I think that's the Idea and this includes Exploration Gameplay, for example a org finds a asteroid base, they relocate there, another org finds that base, then org war. That's some gameplay content

Asteroid bases... space combat... it sounds like space combat won't be inside but I dream of tunnel systems not unlike in the Descent game series. Or a high pucker factor tight pack of asteroids, with infrastructure strewn across including landing pads. Would be wild seeing the different gravity angles, like seeing a ship parked a couple hundred meters above you (think KK Hollow Earth). The Odin system already kind of has that with The Coil. And Cathcart will have something similar with its Spider station. An asteroid pack (more massive and labyrinthian than GH) or big-cave-system asteroid wouldn't be such a big stretch, would it?

It’s disappointing that whenever CIG talks about an interior of anything, it’s for FPS combat. As if that is as far as their FPS creativity extends. There’s a lot of awesome opportunities for interiors in this game, but it’s sad to know that the only thing you’ll be able to do in them is shoot someone. Myopic.

This guy has successfully convinced me that the game is 100% a scam. Ive put all my stuff on the gray market so i can get my money back. there is no way in hell this game is coming out, hell im not even convinced 4.0 will come out. I used to be starry eyed and wishful and extremely patient, but because saltymike is the only person who puts out daily content with discussion around it and doesnt just regurgitate CGI talking points like every other content creator, i kept coming back. Unfortunately because of salty's insatiable desire to be permanently doom and gloom and do nothing but point out faults and consume other content that specifically shits on SC, the game and its community have lost another hopeful asshole in myself. He doesnt even applaud the good, he barely accepts the good. Salty i do 100% hope you find joy in your life once again, because god damn i dont think ive ever seen you happy in the 3 years ive watched your content.

They just can't help themselves with all the combat stuff. While I like combat, there is entirely too much focus on it and little to no content or depth for the other gameplay loops. Their only way of making anything difficult in the game seems to be just forcing PVP. Just for instance, take asteroid bases. We get new places to explore, yay!....then a few words later they talk about how great the FPS and space combat will be in those same spaces. Ditto for space stations with "contested zones". FFS, are they incapable of making any of the other gameplay and loops they specifically said they would make in the game?!

Progression system as in progressing through what is in reality a MMO dungeon. They introduced an MMO dungeon. I think in the moment with you live reacting to this that flew over your head and you latched onto one of your biggest complaints with the game. Long term skills or something to say "i've progressed in the game!" THat's not what they are saying there. They are saying that there are progress points to finish the MMO DUNGEON. As in there are stages to completing what appears to be the largest dungeon they have made so far.
