Hey man, loved your video. Great to see a young man living life and doing what he loves. I’m retired and God willing will be taking my boat out pretty regularly in the bay. Thanks for sharing your fishing methods and good luck to you. Into catch and release and responsible environmental fishing to.

I just bought a boat that has a Lone Star Anchor Winch and lone Star plow Anchor Salty. I’ll be sitting at my helm and when I decide to drop the pick, I pick up my wireless hand held remote and press “out”. Seriously, it’s about as awesome as going from a tinny with thwarts and a two stroke tiller steer to a more substantial dry cabin boat with a 4 stroke electric start and trim. Deployment and retrieval of the anchor is quick and reliable as. They’re not cheap but well worth the investment😉👍

Maybe on my next boat, I wouldnt be dropping a plow where I fish i doubt you would get it back. I have to sacrifice the reef pick sometimes they just get that stuck.

Love it mate ! At least I know I'm not doing anything wrong! But how do you avoid the rubbish fish from chewing up all your bait?

Hi mate stay off the heavy reef. Be near it but not on it. Watch some of my later vids and I’ll show where I anchor and why

Love your vids mate, What would you consider your success rate, as in on average how many trips out would you land a keeper ? I mainly fish off Mindari which has been doing ok this winter.
@Saltfix
@Saltfix 5 жыл бұрын
Hey Mate, Thanks for the support. I consider every trip successful as long as I learn something. If im fishing further out on the three mile i would be 8 out of ten but I like the challenge of finding big fish in really skinny water so 1 out of three trips would be more realistic, sometimes its better sometimes worse. but As long as im on the water and not at work Im happy

On the chicken. I keep all my chicken bones and toss them overboard when I anchor up. Last year I caught an 85cm pinky that was fat as mud. When I gutted it it had about twenty bones in it. When I was a boy (many years ago)chicken was the top bait. What you call a pain in the arse I call top fish. I prefer Pike over Snapper. Each to there own. You are doing a good job keep it up.👍

No expert but I'd be dogclipping those rods in the holder. You'll lose one one of these days. I didn't think would happen but watched my fav rod and tld 25 fly and sink in 40 m with what I suspect was a honking dhuie and man it hurt. Top video chief. Cheers

@Saltfix

I have used them but I think they smell the bait just fine, haven't noticed a difference, if they are there and hungry they will eat. if they are not there it wont matter what you throw out.
