Cirque repeats a lot of the same elements but it just never gets old. It's amazing. I love group contortion acts. There's like a million combinations of things to do.

It's good to see this number again! This was the last act of Act 1 Saltimbanco up until 96. When the show closed in 96 at the Albert hall, London, the girls then went their seperate ways. They all did Nouveau prior to Saltimbanco. it's Nicola Dawn singing lead and Laur Fugere singing back up, you can also hear the lead guitar player Yvon singing. When the show re-formed in 98 they had a similar number in place butgymnastic

it always wishes to see this act is brilliant. It enchants music to me. That pain that when saltimbanco came to Chile did not bring east act.

thank you jewelssparkle for agreeing with me. What makes eyinn's comment funnier is that this performance is no longer in saltimbanco as of1999. (PS: I have seen 11 cirque du soleil's so I am very fond of Cirque!)

4:18 to 4:30 is my FAVOURITE part! I wonder what that move is called? It looks easy enough for me to execute with about 3 mth work, in addition to my other training, & I'll call it the "Infinity shape"!

@davidduke180 This song is only available on the "Saltimbanco live in Amsterdam" soundtrack. However the CD is a very rare collector's item.

I agree this show is old, BUT, it is cirque du soleil and the costume, music and performance are absolutely fine if you know what the older acts and songs were like Pokinoi and a few others so it might be passed its sell by date, but it still was and still is a great show even now.

By the way, did anyone else know that Isabelle Chasse is performing in there somewhere? If you didn't know, also Isabelle Chasse performed in Quidam for the Silks act and was also in Fascination and Nouvelle Experience which in those two shows she did contortion aswell :)

They got seperated and went their seperate ways in 1998. It was when saltimbanco finished there big top tours. When they started the arena tours they didnt search for them again but they did reunite in i believe 2004 or 2008 i dont remember but they didnt perform in saltimbanco when they did. i wish they would come back.

@circusm139 i just went to saltimbanco in auckland last night and they had a solo contortion and hand balancing on cranes act using this song it was great even had the move where she balanced on the piece using only her mouth

Do you happen to have other Cirque de Demain footage? I'm looking from something from the 16th one, in 1991 I believe, and that isn't so far from the one that the Cirque du Soleil girls performed at.

Worldwide as Cirque Du Soleil is, contortionists in general and especially at their level are hard to come by.

@elecktroomuusiic Hey! Is it just me or this music would be great for a Handbalancing on Cranes act in Saltimbanco? Instead of doing the other handbalancing, the Handbalancing Act on Cranes can be a rotational act and they could use this music :D
