Is that the same Saltmarsh from The Dungeon Master’s Guide 2?

Yes! DMG 2 for Dnd 3.5 expands on the U series by fully fleshing out Saltmarsh with a town map, npcs and an adventure set years after the events in these modules.

Thanks for watching this +1 Review of the U Series! Have you ever played these? What do you think about nautical adventures?

This was an excellent overview! I really hope you’ll do similar reviews for other 1st edition modules: A1-4, l2-6, G1-3, D1-3, Q1, C1-2, S1-4, N1, etc.

I just found this video, and I just wanted to say I really enjoyed it! I just ran the first module's second half for my players today. They completed the first half earlier and had a couple of other adventures while waiting for the predicted time the pirates would return. Things got a bit ugly, but they ultimately pulled through and brought the lawless scum to justice (and taxation!). But yes, I really enjoyed this video. This channel deserves more viewers and subscribers.

Subscribed! This was an excellent review. I see that it's been a bit since you made one. I suggest to make more. Your very good at AD&D reviews. Blessings

Nicely done. The Saltmarsh series has always been one of my favorite as a player and a DM. Followed by the Slave Lords and Giants series.

I always loved these!! Someone even did a great showing of these in the Neverwinters Night game, from the early 2000.. Didn’t these eventually lead characters to the A series of modules?
@PlusOnePencil5 жыл бұрын
Yeah! These modules are one of my favourites too.I think the A series sits between the Elemental Evil modules and Queen of Spiders rather than Saltmarsh. You could certainly jump straight into Slave Lords after the U Series though.Characters finish Final Enemy on Level 4 or 5 and I'm sure A1 is for something like levels 4 to 7.

Yeah! They're definitely my favourite. I've never played Against The Giants but that's supposed to be a pretty good series too.

Clerics in AD&D do get spells at level one. In basic D&D they don't.
@PlusOnePencil5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the correction - I must have been thinking of basic. We played more basic than advanced so I remember the rules a lot better. You can always burn off the rot grubs but it's still a tough encounter for an inexperienced group of players.

Is this video broken for anyone else? I can't play it past a few minutes in.

That's a bit odd, it seems okay at the moment. Thanks for giving it a try though! Some of my previous uploads had an audio issue too which was KZbin being weird.
