An absolutely fantastic video! I think it's one of the best videos so far, so technically explained. I am in awe of how you know exactly the times the fish are active, when the currents change and were the bait fish are! But most probably it's through many years of experience. It's not that easy to understand for the average angler like me!
@MarkosVidalisАй бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes all the knowledge comes from the experience all these years. Not sure if you have seen my video regarding the moon, the wind and the currents. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n37JnYihoKmsaacsi=If9fxw9al479oDwe It is a good start to watch and stay subscribed because I'm going to do everything in my power to make things as easy as possible for you 💪

Great video, Markos, as usual. Barracuda is a common catch here. I landed it on Gravity Runner and Gravity Popper, but they love minnows of different sizes: pink belly sardine, pink with silver, and white with redhead. They are aggressive and very beginner-friendly. I only land them rock fishing at sunset or sunrise; I am not very lucky at midday.
@MarkosVidalisАй бұрын
Hey bro. In mid day then become active, as you saw, only during the shift of the currents... If you are at that moment, on the right place, I'm very confident that they will bite...

Great markos! This summer I lost about ten barracudas right after the attack, as if they had not hooked well. Since the treblehooks are very sharp, do you think it could be the fault of the medium fast rod that is too soft? Or simply they ate badly. Also, do you think a 20-70, 20-80 rod is good for casting 30/35 longjerks far away? Or are they too powerful? thanks
@MarkosVidalisАй бұрын
Yes , soft rods are not recommended for barracudas.
@marcospalluto.Ай бұрын
@MarkosVidalis thank you my friend. So you would go on a fast or extra fast I guess. As for fluorocarbon, do you think a 0.55 from the shore is too much? Could it make the longjerks move badly? Last thing, strangely I have always caught them with a slow and linear retrieve and never jerked, am I wrong? thanks

Hi Markos good job as always. i got 2 questions : 1- what mm leader are u using? 2- i know u are powered by savegegear. all your gear is savagegear but reel. whats the reason and isnt there any problem for u?
@bilalaktas3891Ай бұрын
1st question noticed ok sorry. 0.39, 0.45 etc
@MarkosVidalisАй бұрын
The leader is 0.45 and is mentioned more than 8 times in the video, right after each cast. 🙂 My actual job is product manager and developer for savage gear. Savage gear has been bought the last two years from Pure Fishing. Penn reels belong to Pure Fishing. I guess you got your answer 😊

Top video markos! thanks for the tips. Im going shore jigging in malta with sgs2 30-100 g and daiwa bg 5000 but lately im not getting any results. Im mostly using 60 g needle jigs or slim jig, do you have any tips for me?
@MarkosVidalisАй бұрын
Does other people have success? Have you tried to experiment with your Jigging action (slower -faster)?
@Accr019Ай бұрын
@ yes i tried ( slow/fast) i try all the jigs i have in my bag. I used to get results a month ago or so and caught a few little tunny. Other people arent really having success also. Could be maybe brcause the spot is overfished?
@MarkosVidalisАй бұрын
For pelagic fish like bonitos and albacores it doesn't matter if it is overfished. Probably baifish moved on and so might the predators. If other people don't have success also, don't worry... Could be just the period, so be patient
