We went out to the jetty around 6:30pm yesterday and nothing was biting so we are heading in around 9pm and I remembered your vid and this spot so we stopped on the way to the ramp. I hooked into a 35-40" redfish and lost it at the boat. Next cast, I got something bigger on a smaller setup and it spooled me. I'm still not over it but thanks for the awesome vids and my new night fishing spot!

*Chris... My guess for not having two measuring stick locations, located at either end of that beautiful Robalo is... Um... so that you can get your Aerobics Workout in... from running back and forth to the cooler box while also fishing?* Great follow up Vid, Thanx ..gw

gw wile ... the measuring stick is right by the drain so if they are bleeding or flopping around getting slime and scales everywhere it’s easy to wash down. Plus on the floor they are much less likely to slip out of my hands back into the water 😂😂.

Busy day on the water! Fish for dinner and the freezer! I appreciate the chip bag grab. It is amazing to me how some people just have no understanding or concern for nature. Tight line, A couple weeks ago I scooped 1/2 bucket of floating trash. Of course it was on a saturday. We dont usually have that trouble in Oak Hill.

D Horne ... thanks 🙏🏻 👍, I just hope someone will see me grab trash and next time they are on the water maybe they will think twice about taking the same initiative.

Are you supposed to put them on ice if your gonna be out fishing for a while before cleaning them? I never keep what I catch, but I want to if they are legal. I was told to keep them alive until I go back to the dock and then put em on ice and then clean them.

Anyway nice video. Were thinking on going out tomorrow. Do you know if the boat ramps are open to everyone yet or still just the locals
@SaltyStrikes4 жыл бұрын
Ocean Deep Fishing .. Volusia county ramps are open to everyone but New Smyrna City ramps still have signs up saying F.I.N.D district residence only. I don’t know if they are enforcing it but that a sketchy chance to take. It’s gonna be chilly tomorrow, take a jacket 👍.

Ocean Deep Fishing ... both, some bait some to eat. Kim makes really good Blues fish cakes with them. Same way you would make crab cakes or salmon cakes. So far I love them. We are going to try a Blue Fish Chowder soon.
