One of the most prodigiously talented, extravagant creative artists in human history. I purchased one of his hand-signed prints a few months ago (Ecuyere - Die Kunstreiterin, a splendid etching from '64) and consider it one of my most valuable possessions. Dalí was the most prophetic of the 20th century artists; modern film, animation, media and fashion - in a nutshell, modern culture generally - take more from Dalí, on the whole, than from Picasso, Miró or Matisse. The man was prescient, brilliant past description, a cultural critic with very few equals, and possibly the most diversely talented person to live since Leonardo da Vinci. His talents don't excuse his flaws, which are many and obvious to whoever has an eye to see and an ear to hear; but his achievement is so staggering, his cultural influence so pervasive that the only appropriate response is one of awe. Many thanks for making this!

Despite his numerous flaws, the man was a brilliant painter-probably the single greatest one of the 20th century. As for Picasso, anyone can paint a Picasso. But only Dalí could paint a Dalí.

Hard to tell now which ones are his and which ones are not since he signed blank canvases for $2 lbs each. There are a lot of forgeries out there with his signature

20th Century Hall of Fame - Salvador Dali 1507pm 12.6.24 hahahah.......... indeed. the tale re: him being aghast at the model railway Disney owned, which one could ride like any other "real" train, crashing... seems to amuse those who read about his hysteria. LoL.

@@flyagaric007 Comments on ‘20th Century Hall of Fame - Salvador Dali’ 1514pm 12.5.24 i wasn't drinking. it was a proverbial comment to emphasize the weird nature of my seeing gala walk down a beach when she was, allegedly, dead. you're not the type to walk round a gallery with let alone comprehend the nature of literature of life per se.... adios, old ham.

Fun fact: Salvador Dalí was a chronic mastubater, and he liked to do It in public😅

Is is just me or does "Gala Dali" sound like the Latin name of some pretty garden flower?
