Let me say first that I love this product from a safety stand point. Having said that, as a Yard Driver myself, this adds a lot of time to switching trailers and having to climb up and down the tractor to use this system puts a lot of stress on our knees and joints. Not to mention it is exhausting having to do this 60+ times in a 12 hour shift. Is driver safety not important, too?

Hello cirkis, can you provide reasoning for your comment below? The Salvo system ensures compliance around the world that brakes are applied prior to loading (such as FMCSA’s 49 CFR 393.41 (c) and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 (k)(1) in the USA). Premature drive-aways are an on-going issue and the Salvo system eliminates this by interlocking the dock door with the trailer braking system. The Salvo system physically ensures the safety of all dock personnel, rather than only traffic light indication.
