I lived in Munich for five years and loved Bavaria, Austria is a beautiful country scenic and culturally, I believe if God ever wanted to retire he would choose this part of the world.

My God! I was once on a coach tour of Austria, and I still treasure the memory of its great beauty that Country... but the tour organisers never even mentioned the existence of Hallstatt. I am now too old to simply hop on a plane to Salzburg, but how I would love to cross that beautiful lake, to what is now my personal conception of Nirvana.

Salzburg is a wonderful city. I've also been to Hallstatt on a summer's day when it was pissing down with rain, and it was still an amazingly beautiful town. Can only imagine how great it must be when the sun is shining.

I used to live in Austria 30 years ago. it seems nothing changed up there. Hallstatt is one of my favourite Austrian towns and cities. it is a toy town - tiny, beautiful, and Moon lake and the mountains. are very appealing. Gruess Gote, Hallstatt!

lordmasterization You ever seen the peaceful lakes and mountains of the Lake District, the harsh rocky fells and waterfalls of the Yorkshire Dales, the interesting green scenery and snow of the North Pennines, the calm and peaceful hills, valleys, streams and friendly, traditional people of the North York Moors, the rugged coastline, mountains and castles of Northumberland, as well as the other beautiful areas of interesting landscapes in England (primarily Northern England) such as the Peak District? The UK is beautiful, you just have to find the right places. London is proudly regarded around the UK as a total shitole, but a nice day out.
