Sam Allberry | Sexual Challenges and Your Church's Response | TGC Podcast

Sam Allberry delivered a message at TGC’s 2020 Bay Area Pre-Conference titled “Sexuality, the Church, Grace, and Truth.” Expounding on Mark 10:28-30, and in response to a question he received in regard to how Jesus views homosexuality, Allberry spoke to how the gospel addresses people in committed homosexual relationships.
First, he said, Jesus assumes people will leave things to follow him. Second, Jesus assumes the most costly things to leave will be familial and relational. But Jesus also says that however much a person might leave, it will absolutely be worth it.

Thanks, great sermon but I must ask, a life of singleness is not necessarily a life without love but a life without sexual love, a life without sexual love is a bitter thought for me and I'm sure for many others, and I find it hard to imagine it being repaid even one fold in THIS lifetime. Would like to hear your thoughts on this, thanks.

Hi Man 27. True, and romantic love is good and a hard thing to live without. But I don't recall the promise saying we will recive wife or husband, other familial relations but that one was not included.
