Last note. Sam deserves full credit for igniting the race to *generally available* and *accessible* AI. Google would still be playing in the lab, Elon wouldn't have sniffed the opportunity enough to go 'all-in' - Zuckerberg wouldn't have felt threatened enough to enlist free labour world wide via open source. Sam is a hero, yes - flawed but the results speak for themselves - OpenAI is shipping the next generation of reasoning models and they're generally scientifically very useful.

His marketing speech is atrocious. Beyond the annoying strained voice and his Zuckerberg-esque mannequin demeanor, so much of what he's saying is exaggerated or simply untrue. 11:02 What he calls AI isn't even AI and what he defined as "super intelligence" is as arbitrary and uninspired and the rest of his babbling. And then the hypocrisy around Musk - I mean, Altman's betrayal was published only a few weeks ago. For him to weep about being bullied by Musk after the scam he tried to pull was actually quite comical.

Amazing consumer use case example of real-time GPT Sam mentioned, just this week: Instead of opening chrome, searching movie title, selecting theater, scrolling to movie, specifying date, we used only ONE button and voice-dictated the prompt "we live in zip code 12345, we want to see sonic the hedgehog 3, are there times it is playing near us tonight?" got a full real time list instantly. So satisfying. If GPT had an Alexa-like wake on the phone or 'hey google' and already knew where we lived it would be 🎉

He says "we needed 100 billion dollars to make the lab ." That is a huge lie . They just finished building GROK or the hardware side and it was 6 Billion total . GROK is a bigger facility than OPEN AI is currently . So if you wonder if this slime bag lies . Now you know . He made billions off the investors and put it into his own pocket ...THAT IS WHY it is costing OPen AI so much . Sam is not a tech guy . He wanted a company to make money off of . He used to lick Elons boots as a kid and a fan . He used to interview Elon for Sams tiny little podcast and talk about video games . Elon became his friend , Trusted him , and then Sam back stabbed him and everyone in the public by taking a free product of OPENAI and made it for profit to get rich . Elon now hates him for what he did to his idea of giving AI to humanity .

So she crucially left out the fact that Sam Altman continually mentioned that he did not have equity in the company and he did it for the love of it. He testified in front of Congress as much. Then this later shifted to him having a 10 billion dollar stake. This is such a big thing to not include, that I now know that this is not a reputable channel, and this is nothing more than a brand campaign for Sam Altman. Given that this program's name is honestly, it was already kind of suspect lol 🙄 can't be any more on the nose.

Sam Altman drives a $1.9M Koenigsegg Regera. Elon musk the world's richest man owns less real estate than many non-millionaires. I know who's motivation I trust most 😉
@LeviNotik17 сағат бұрын
Whatever talents Sam Altman has, which I'm sure are many, being the public face and ambassador for a company is not one of them. That's not an attack or a criticism, it's just a statement of fact. Sam going on interviews and giving statements, with his natural demeanor and his voice, just doesn't work. If building public trust is critical for a company like OpenAI, he is simply not the right person for that role. No matter how much we may wish that people would focus just on the substance of what he says, the fact is that there is a lot of unspoken communication and his mannerisms that, just in a purely lizard brain sense, make people feel like he is a liar and a weasel, even if it's not true.

Elon has explained 'goals' of three companies with clarity: in order for Tesla to make a difference, it had to achieve profitability. And in order to be multi planetary SpaceEx had to make space travel cost effective. And in order to make speech free, Twitter may have to lose money. With each of those, it seems open source and transparency were a significant part of it. Compare all that to Steve Jobs, with the legendary line about multi-touch "and boy, have we patented it!". Sam is in a tough place, maybe because he knows that if AI does achieve its technological win, of super intelligence or AGI, it would have to be greatly controlled, aka, embedded with instructions on who it serves, aka, not AGI. Sam is in a tough place, and he seems aware of that when he refers to ignoring the equity stake early on.

Why more dumping on Elon Musk these days? He has more than proved his chops, by accomplishing!!!

I really tried my best to stay objective throughout the video. But, at the end emerged with even less trust on this individual. He talks like a techno-legal genius, but that creates an uncanny valley for the audience! Actions build trust, his actions are covert and the bad intentions are hidden in the technically valid, yet unethical loops. It will be fascinating to see how Elon tries to solve it. He had his share of fun, but now his focus on this is intense. I feel something dramatic will come out of X AI, very soon. I trust Elon because he risks his everything and faces destruction boldly. He doesn't hide.
